-Ratings Breakdown:
CBS was back in the overnight Tuesday winner’s circle care of its combination of underrated NCIS (#1: 12.2 rating/19 share), spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles (#2: 8.3/12), which took a backseat to the live Dancing with the Stars Results Show on ABC, and The Good Wife (#1: 7.9/13), which featured another guest shot by Michael J. Fox. Comparably, CBS beat second-place ABC overall by 21 percent. In the distant No. 3 spot was NBC, followed by another night of repeats on Fox and The CW.

In season (or series-finale) news, freshman ABC drama No Ordinary Family concluded with an uneventful third-place 4.0/ 6 in the overnights at 8 p.m. Given the modest state of the ratings, there is no reason to think No Ordinary Family will return next season. Next on the alphabet net was aforementioned Dancing with the Stars (#1: 11.6/18 at 9 p.m.), which built by a mammoth 190 percent out of the 8:30 p.m. portion of No Ordinary Family (4.0/ 6), followed by the second Tuesday telecast (and third overall) of crime solver Body of Proof (#2: 7.7/13 at 10 p.m.). While Body of Proof is poised for time period victory among key adults 18-49, compared to its week-ago opener (9.4/16 on March 29) this was a loss of 18 percent. Retention out of the 9:30 p.m. portion of Dancing with the Stars (11.9/18) was 65 percent.

Over at NBC, another two-hour installment of inspirational The Biggest Loser scored a typical 5.1/ 8 in the overnights from 8-10 p.m., building by half-hour as follows:

The Biggest Loser (NBC)
8:00 p.m.: 4.8/ 8 (#2)
8:30 p.m.: 4.9/ 8 (#2)
9:00 p.m.: 5.1/ 8 (#3)
9:30 p.m.: 5.5/ 8 (#3)

Viewer feedback - Said Nate, our favorite blogger: “The Biggest Loser continues to be such a huge disappointment this season. Next week, the show looks like it is going to completely "jump the shark" when the remaining contestants go on a trip to New Zealand. Am I the only one who thinks The Biggest Loser is having a terrible season?”

Sophomore Parenthood capped off the evening for NBC with a last-place 3.4/ 6 at 10 p.m. Retention out of the 9:30 p.m. portion of The Biggest Loser was 64 percent.

Elsewhere, Fox filled this first Tuesday of April with repeats of Glee (#4: 3.1/ 5), Raising Hope (#4: 2.2/ 3) and Traffic Light (#4: 1.5/ 2). And The CW aired encore telecasts of One Tree Hill (#5: 0.5/ 1) and Hellcats (#5: 0.5/ 1). Both serialized CW dramas return with original episodes on April 19.
