  1. I'm not a big fan of pretension and I doubt that is anything more pretentious than a royal wedding so I think I'll pass. I wish them the best though. I'm sure it can't be easy to live the way they are forced to live. I did have to laugh when I was reading the reason why a couple of Prime Ministers and President Obama weren't invited was because Will and Kate wanted to keep it small and private. I can't imagine what this thing would've looked like if they'd gone for large and public. ; )

  2. Not live, of course. It's on from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m. I'll fast forward through much but stop and watch them exchange vows and exit from the church. I'll admit I'm excited. I want to see her dress! I kind of hope what the tabloids say is true, and Queen Elizabeth requests Wills be king, passing over Charles. Because Camilla/Charles vs. Kate/Wills -- who's the fun couple here?

  3. With all the crap that dominates the headlines, I'm ready for something positive. I'm waking up at ungodly o'clock, putting on the biggest hat I have, pouring a mimosa or two and watching it live.

  4. While I'm happy for the couple, I'll say that if I didn't know better history is repeating itself. I sincerely hope not and Kate doesn't end up like Diana. Best wishes to them and a long and happy marriage.

  5. I'll watch the wedding; but I'm getting sick of all the coverage, specials and speculation.

  6. I was forced to watch the "original" Royal Wedding of Charles and Di when I was young. Absolutely amazing how many peopleturned out. I cannot imagine more pomp and circumstance at this wedding, but even it it is bigger, better, more pretentious..... I just have no interest whatsoever.

I will get my coverage from John Stewart, Letterman, Leno and Craig Ferguson as they mock it and ad some humor to it.

  7. These two look in love. Charles and Di never did. But Stewart will be hilarious and I'll watch that too.

  8. I'll be watching live! I normally get up between 6:00 and 8:00 anyway, and I'm kinda excited for it. Can't wait for the endless coverage to be over, though!

  9. I'm just disappointed there was no option that could explain my disdain more accurately. Something along the lines of "Oh dear god no. If I could put myself into a self-induced coma until this was all over I would" would work for me.

  10. I wasnt initially but considering its something that could happen only once in my lifetime and is something that unites my country together patriotically when that is a rarity is something special... I think that it has been overblown and I certainly wont watch it all but I can see me watching highlights of it.

  11. Of course! Watched Charles & Di, Andrew & Fergie, Edward & Sophie, even Charles & Camilla. I'm not gonna stop now. Taking Friday off work because I'll be in no condition to go in!

  12. Unfortunately I will be in London this weekend. When we booked this trip we didn't think of the wedding date or it wasn't set yet, I don't recall. So I get to experience some of this wedding hype first hand although I have absolutely no interest in this whatsoever...
At least I get to see Arsenal - ManUtd live.

  13. Thankfully I work part of it so I dont have to watch it because I am sure somebody at home will watch it. Why cant they get married in private with only the people they like. I think royal weddings are so fake.
