POLL - What Shows Do You Most Want to See Remade?

My Top 3 Picks

Magnum PI

I would love to see a Magnum and Five-O pair on Mondays. That being said who could play Magnum? I could see Josh Holloway doing it. I’d love to see who they could come up with to play Higgins. My choices would be among Michael Emerson or David McCallum. However, seeing as Emerson is already in line for two pilots and David McCallum is playing Ducky in the still immensely popular NCIS I can’t see either of those two happening. Or maybe if Blue Bloods gets cancelled Tom Selleck could play Higgins. Wouldn’t that be in reverse?!?!?!?

Star Trek

I think when they chose the cast of the 2009 JJ Abrams film they were spot on. I would definitely watch if they turned that movie into another tv series. I love the idea of the slightly different timeline introduced in the 2009 movie. Plus who knows maybe we can lure Leonard Nimoy fully out of retirement and get more than just his voice in a show!

Quantum Leap

Time travel shows have always been popular especially when the main characters are dealing with historical figures. If you haven’t watched this one and liked season 5 of Lost you have to watch this. But I should warn you this show was done about 20 years ago so the special effects are laughable (that goes with the original tv shows list above this too) Special effects are another reason I’d like to see this show redone. Technology expands exponentially each year so I think brushes with history like the original show is famous for would be even cooler.

  3. Quantum Leap, exactly! And have Scott Bakula play the mentor this time.

Leave it to Beaver was a sweet family show where the kid did normal kid things and the parents were not idiots.

Bonanza, updated to current times. A dad and his three sons running a ranch.

    Hart to Hart.

  4. I think Magnum PI would be fun to watch again... or The Rockford Files would be fun too. Just a straight ahead good time private investigator series without any gimmicks. No magic. No special FX to show bullets going thru people. No psychic minds or agoraphobia. Straight up investigations done by an average guy. I never realized how much I missed shows like this until I started watching The Republic of Doyle a couple months ago.

.I would love to see Night Court remade. I am not a law drama fan, but I always loved Night Court on Nick at Night. Having odd cases come in to be taken by odd attorneys can make for fun and funny sitcom moments in any decade.

Ultraviolet. Not the terrible Milla Jojovich movie... the incredible Idris Elba and Jack Davenport series. It was about a government sanctioned covert op team that fought vampires. but in the 6 episodes of the series they never once used the word vampires. Very unique take on the vampire mythos. Plus, it introduced us to a one day future True Blood vampire Stephen Moyer who played.... a vampire.

  5. Murder, She Wrote

I simply love Angela Lansbury! though I'm not sure who could replace her!

  9. Beavis and Butthead, Magnum Pi, The A Team, The Three Stooges, My So Called Life, Star Trek, The Twilight Zone, Charmed, Bewitched, Buffy, MASH, All In The Family, McGyver, Mission Impossible to name a few...

  10. Mystery Science Theater 3000!!! We got cable just so we could watch that, and it went off the air soon after. Time to bring it back, please. As long as there are bad science fiction movies made (and there are), Crow, Tom Servo, and gang will be plenty busy.
