WILL BLAIR CHOOSE HER PRINCE OR HER DARK KNIGHT? — Season four wraps up with an explosive finale, including the return of Georgina Sparks (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg)and Constance Billard mean girls Kati and Is (guest stars Nan Zhang and Nicole Fiscella), a cameo
by “Gossip Girl” author Cecily von Ziegesar, a performance by Airborne Toxic Event and, oh yeah, a few very juicy cliffhangers. Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Penn Badgley, Chace Crawford, Ed Westwick, Jessica Szohr, Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle star. Patrick Norris directed the episode written by executive producer Joshua Safran (#422).

    Firstly, this is not the Prince, is a prince, which could easily mean the prince-in-disguise = the pauper.

    Secondly, this episode was written by Josha Safran, a Dair stan ;-)

    Thirdly, "a few very juicy cliffhangers" means that we won't see who's the lucky guy, so all things point to Blair realizing her feelings for Dan.

    You would have to be dense to not realize its the prince and the dark knight , Dans the pauper !!! all the promos have been leading to this moment! and while dan and blair have been 4 seasons in the makeing , chair has been in the making since season 1 with victor victrola. the writers arent stupid , you dont develop that kind of relationship and flush it down the toilet , it took them two seasons to officially make them a couple and its gonna take more then dan humprey to destroy that !!!

    I think the prince or dark knight quandary is a misdirection. For the time being, she'll go—very happily—with the pauper, and hopefully learn a bit more about herself. In the end, I think she'll end up with Chuck, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I was looking forward to Dair!

    Honestly, I hope it will be Dan.

    It won't be the Prince obviously and the Dark Knight is obviously Chuck so if the choice was between those two...she'd go with Chuck. But with the wording "her prince" and not the prince...it could be Dan and he could be "her prince".

    Wishful thinking maybe but I am sick of seeing this constant tug of war with Chuck and Blair, are they together or are they enemies blah blah blah. I want to take a break from the CHAIR and go with something new and blue and no one is bluer than the lonely boy, Dan Humphrey. That way when CHAIR reunite in the end, the reunion will be so much better that they eventually found their way's back to each other, like Chuck said they would! ;)

    Even though Blair wouldn't admit that she liked him until 1x18, she and Chuck were having sex. We knew she at least liked him in bed.

    Dan and Blair have barely kissed. She just rejected him for a guy that she hardly knows. I don't know what the writers are going to do next season, but at this point in time, it crystal clear that she does not have romantic feelings for Dan. She does have feels of friendship for him though.

    I knew for the very first moment that if Blair said she had feelings for Dan, Dair fans would be more than thrilled about it. If she didn't, they would use the denial card.

    Blair was indeed in denial about whatever she felt for Chuck in season 1. What did she do? She chose to go back to her safe option: Nate
    Do you really think that Blair saying that kissing Dan made her realise she wanted to be with Chuck is her being in denial and choosing the easiest and safest option?
    Even as a Chair fan, I'm not delusional to believe that Chuck is her easiest choice! Not at all. That's why she spent a week in bed, because she didn't want to deal with it! It was THAT easy *sarcasm*

    Joshua Safran wrote episodes like 2x01 and 2x25- which were both CB heavy episodes.. he's actually written a lot of really good material for Chuck and Blair, so I wouldn't be so sure that it automatically means you'll get DB just because he wrote the episode.

    Everyone has said that the finale is totally unexpected! and what is it we all expect? we expect that Blair is going to choose Chuck or the Prince (we expect this because of the quote above of who will she choose.) What is unexpected? The guy that has not been in the last promos, or mentioned in this quote... the pauper, dan, the frog, the labrador. THAT is the unexpected! Blair will not realize once again something Chuck related, it makes no sense two Chuck realizations in less than 5 episodes, it would be repetitive and not good writing. In the end she will realize something Dan related, like she did felt something with the kisses, she just didn't know before. Dair is still possible and all of know it, some are happy for it, some are scared, some are mad, I don't care, I only know is that this pairing will be one of the most talked about pairing in TV history, more talked about that Chair even.

    and throughout Gossip Girl they have given Dan Humphrey the identity of the prince in disguise of the show. First he was the prince in disguise of Serena, now he is the prince is disguise of Blair. People are so stubborn and literal that they just don't want to admit we are right, that Dan still has a chance.

    and also add that they released the picture of Chuck and Blair all happy, released this question of wh will she choose (Her prince or her dark knight), and they haven't put Dair scenes on the last promos, why? For us to forget about Dan and Blair and think they will no longer happen, they want to distract us with the thinking that Dair romance is over and it now its only between louis and chuck. Louis is obviously not the winner. So everyone thinks its chuck because all the media buzz, yet people are so closed minded, and literal! Open your eyes, Dair is going to happen somehow someday, soon or later, but it will happen.

If you re-watch the season finale from second season, Nate was "the prince" and Chuck "the dark knight" but at the end, Chuck was "prince in disguise".

    I really don't know from where people invent that Dan was always the "prince in disguise", this is a so Chuck's title.

    I don't think that. There are several trustful spoilers that say Blair options will only be Chuck and Louis. Dan storyline for the end of the season his "thing" with Charlie, and he'll have some several issues with Serena, and it has no connection with Dan and Blair kiss (probably it's the Charlie thing).

    And if you re-watch the promo, you'll realize almost all the scenes of Dan are not with Blair or about Blair. The "we're not friends" was for Vanessa, the sex scene is with Charlie, and he won't be attending the bar mitzvah or Blair engagement with the prince.

    I don't think so. Dan doesn't even get the real Blair therefore he will never be a real option. Also, Diar is certainly not as talked about as Chair and never will be. This show is struggling with Dair at the front and center. It lost fans not gained them. Chuck beats Dan in polls all the time. Chuck and Blair were front and center when the show had the best ratings. Dair will NEVER make most entertaining on EW. It will never have the fans Chair has or even had especially when most Dair fans can only talk about Chair to justify the pairing of Dair. Chuck and Blair are endgame.

Of their storyline they had the 4 worst ratings in this shows HISTORY.700, 000 people left the show during the DB arc.The kiss episode was the second worse ever and ratings dropped the second half of the episode. What Island are you living on? Really, I want to know. Check tvbythenumbers, then come to me with actual facts. Right now, you are making up garbage from your head. The critics-all of the critics have praised CB before. You really need to think before you post because now I know you have no clue what you are even talking about.

    Who was introduced back into her story when the ratings had a slight incline- oh, that was Chuck. People saw the promos with Chuck and Blair in them and started coming back. During the Dair arc ratings just declined. You have no basis for any of your arguments at all.

    By the way, couldn't you come up with something better in your response there? I love that Dair fans have to be rude to posters because they like Chair. It's rather amusing how immature that is when their arguments fall apart.

    Dan could be interpreted to be a prince. It's not out of the realm of possibility considering the context. It's just as valid of a speculation as some of the other options for the finale floating around.

    I think things are too up in the air for me to even entertain how it will end. Yes, I'd like to keep things with Dan as an open possibility. And I do think Chuck is not a healthy option for Blair right now. But again, who knows how it will end. There's confirmed cliff-hangers, and that's about all we know for sure.

    Um ... Have you seen the ratings? I don't know where you get your information from, because you're wrong. The highest rated episodes ever are Chair related episodes. The highest rated episodes this season, which is after the hotel fiasco, have been Chair related episodes. The ratings started steadily declining as soon as Dair started happening. Look up the numbers yourself, and stop depending on whatever critics you are talking about because they're wrong.

    People gave Dair a chance in episode 4.11. It got 2 million. Only to go down to 1.5 millon for 4.12. The episode where everyone thought Dair would kiss, 4.15, (The one where the promo showed Dan holding Blair's hand as they were spying on Chuck) got the lowest at 1.3. The infamous Dair kiss episode, 4.17, got 1.39. The newest episodes got 1.4 and 1.5. Still not that great. This is exactly how Dair "saved" Gossip Girl.

So (People who stopped watching the show because of DB)- (People who started watching it again because of DB)= 700,000. Yeah, real ratings bonanza there.     Actually "The Kids Stay in the Picture" got the ball rolling again.... and thanks to that "Petty in Pink" did fairly well.. anyways Dair would get freshness to the show.. but even if it happens.. eventually she will get back to Chuck. "The Wrong Goodbye" -- Gud bye to Chuck or Dan???

    I'm not watching that show anymore! All those characters and couples are so so boring. There is nothing new to the storylines and Cuck and Blair make me yawning already. Those to may have been fun in the first seasons but enough is enough. They will be happy for a few seconds and then Chuck takes some drugs and f*cks a couple of girls at some public place.

    Blair and Dan were the only interesting and fun thing on that show that happened for a long time.

    If they want to destroy that? Fin. NOT. WATCHING.

    Ok everyone, if you see this Monday's promo.. you see two people starting to unaddress.. I slow motioned it and looked through pictures DAIR IS OVER.. the couple is CHARLIE AND DAN!! THE PRINCE IS MAD ANNOYING AND I REALLY NEED A real love scene with Chair..I HAVE BEEN BORED OUT OF MY MIND WITH THESE LAST 6 BAD EPISODES!!!

    why the hell does alot of people think Ed Westwick is so hot goodlooking whatever and Penn Badgley is not the only thing sexy about Ed is his accent and Penn Badgley looks better than Ed look at Ed's head next time or his big ass flared nostrils that is just shit taste now if you said Ian Somerholdor or Jensen Ackles I would be like hell fuck yeah hottest men on TV but Ed Westwick come on ladies you can do better
