    Gotta hand it to them, they know how to tease. Most of the time TV shows think that a teaser for an episode shouldn't include big moments like this, because they think it spoils too much. But if you include this stuff in a preview, people are going to want to watch the episode even more, because they'll think "If they're showing this before the episode has aired, then there must be a bigger moment when it does."

    Well, we know that either he'll be gone already and won't even know she opened the door, OR he'll see her but something will keep her from saying anything and the momentum will be gone (like, there'll be a gunshot or a phone call etc). I think that the big deal here is that Castle gave voice to his feelings and Beckett admitted to herself that she wasn't as indifferent as she'd made herself to be. Essentially last season's ending is voided and this sets the stage for the finale.
