PaleyFest 2011 is in full swing in Beverly Hills, California right now and has already provided a first look at footage from the filming of HBO's True Blood: Season Four.
The sneak peek is narrated by someone reading directly from the actual shooting script. It's set on an exterior country road at night and reveals a shirtless blond man wandering aimlessly down the middle of the road. Trubies whom have read the Sookie Stackhouse books immediately know this man to be Eric Northman (Alexander Skarsgård) and are already applauding (in some cases screaming in delight) Alan Ball's decision to apparently keep one of the most fan favorite storylines intact.
HBO has yet to give True Blood: Season Four a premiere date though it's widely expected to arrive in mid-to-late April given the May 31 season three Blu-ray and DVD release date and schedule for the previous three seasons. I'll be sure to pass along the premiere date as soon as HBO reveals it, likely as part of their "waiting sucks" marketing plan that has been playing out over the past several months.
Ladies, enjoy a shirtless Eric Northman wandering aimlessly below.
