On the eve of their one month dating anniversary, Ed is planning to romance Rosemary (Jean Smart) with dinner and sex. Ed has a head start with a late night chat over the phone. "What are you wearing?"
Things don't go well when Ed storms into Rosemary bedroom with a shotgun, trying to protect her from a possible burglar. Guns are dangerous. Rosemary insists Ed put away the guns in his house, if they are to carry on with their relationship. He reluctantly does so.
Meanwhile Bonnie and Vince are at a fertility clinic. When Vince is having trouble being properly stimulated, Bonnie sends him home to get his one pornography movie.
After Ed is robbed at knife point, he gets into another argument with Rosemary about the gun. Because they don't see eye to eye on the issue, they break up. She calls him stubborn, and he calls her a tight ass. In the process, both discover later what fun make up sex could be.
Ed goes to the store to get ice cream, leaving Rosemary alone, just as Vince sneaks back into the house. Believing it to be a burglar, Rosemary shoots at him with Ed's gun, injuring Vince's hand and destroying the video he was holding. Fortunately, Vince was not seriously hurt, but Rosemary is visibly upset by Ed's lack of concern. She leaves only if Ed will come over for make up sex.
