Hey Guys,
A few weeks ago I signed up to 'Operation White Tulip,' which is jut a name for trying to get as many people to watch Fringe as possible. I thought I'd spread the word by posting the email for this week, for anyone interested in trying to help :)
So I suggest you Facebook like and Twitter this message. Let's save Fringe!
Hi Everyone,
We all know how crucial this upcoming week is: all of our efforts with promoting Fringe Friday have lead up to this moment, and we need to tackle it with the full force of our resolve.
To this end, below are a number of ways that we as fans can try to increase the awareness of this week's impending Fringe Event. For US viewers, watching LIVE is the key - as well as persuading your friends (and anyone within earshot) to watch. If you can get Nielsen viewers, even better! But for International fans, the best tool at our disposal is Social Networking and the word-of-mouth promotion that it affords us.
In the next 7 days let's try do the following:
Promote Fringe Network Site
(and its Tumblr, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Twibbon pages.)
As well as the following "Get Involved" campaigns:
Facebook: "Song of The Week" competition
Twitter: "Fringe Twitter Force"
"Operation White Tulip" *FINAL NOTICE*
Direct marketing
Ask your friends to spread the word of Fringe and make sure they watch LIVE if possible. Start conversations and discuss Fringe topics, theories, queries, etc. Avoid spamming.
This would also be a time to pique their curiousity by perhaps mentioning that Christopher Lloyd will be guest-starring in the first episode back. Even if someone has never seen FRINGE before, give them a primer explanation and convince them to check out this week's all new episode, on its new night.
Twitter Networking
On top of the "Twitter Force" use and make the most of your personal twitter account, send out friendly reminders to your followers.
Target Market this week are those discussing the following key words:
Fringe
Fox
Firefly
Friday
Violet Sedan Chair
Christopher Lloyd
Back To The Future
Blogging
Talk about the show like a maniac: through text, art, videos...anything you can think of! Discuss the upcoming episode and what you are hoping to see, from Violet Sedan Chair to Christopher Lloyd, to Fringe theories. Anything that shouts "FRINGE!" is good exposure.
People who read or visit your blog/website will be automatically exposed, and you would be surprised by how many people are still unaware of Fringe's move to Fridays!
Feel free to use the resources available on the Fringe Network site.
This Week on Fringe Network
A set of User Icons free to use (Graphic Resources)
Food For Thought Article (Discussing PCA win, TCA quotes, etc.)
Announcing first winner of the "Song of The Week" competition
Thank you, everyone! I hope that this gets you all excited (well, even more excited, that is) about this coming Friday. Let's make sure that our efforts are not put to waste. Most importantly: enjoy promoting the show! This is a team effort, and we hope that you meet new Fringe fans in the process!
Continue believing that we can make a difference, and we shall.
For Fringe!
