Another week, another GREAT episode of The Vampire Diaries. This weeks episode "Rose" picked up from last weeks with Elena still missing and no one knows it yet. Jeremy is the one to figure out Elena is missing and goes to Bonnie and Stefan for help. Elena being in danger leads to a road trip for the Salvatore brothers. We discover that Elena has been taken by two 500 year old vampires who have been running from the "Originals" since one of them betrayed Elijah in favor of Katharine. Which is where Elena comes into play. In order for Rose and her partner to be safe they have to turn Katharine's Doppelganger into Elijah and then they will be free. The audience as well as Elena get a new part of the mythology of Vampire Diaries. The "Originals" are the new evil in town-and we realize Katharine maybe in more trouble then we actually thought. Not a lot is revealed about the "Originals", Elijah being one of them, as well as Katharine. Stefan and Damon make it on time to save Elena (shocker, can't really be surprised) and "kill" Elijah, or so it would appear.
In the world that doesn't involve Elena and her boys, Bonnie and Jeremy team up to locate Elena and send her a message with magic. Now the moment Bonnie came up with an idea of locating Elena the first thing that came to mind when i saw the map was "locating spell" which was used often on Buffy. It's nice to see that there is tiny little tie in's to a show like Buffy, considering if it weren't for Buffy, Vampire Diaries would not exist.
Through all of their[Bonnie and Jeremy] scenes together, all i kept saying was "make out". These two have GREAT chemistry together and i am definately feeling them together-so lets hope for more of that.
Overall the episode was very good, there was action, some angst, a little romance and the mythology of the show is slowly slowly coming undone.
Highlight Moment: Damon admitting he loves Elena! It was obvious that he loved her because lets be honest, two hot guys and one hot girl-nothing new. The scene was so well done, Damon gets right in her face and tells her, "I love you, but i can't be selfish." Then tells her he wishes she'd remember this, but compels her so she doesn't. Its all very Shakespearian Tragedy, but it works. And its a great moment for Damon to admit that she belongs with Stefan. But im just going to put this out there, by the beginning for season three Damon/Elena will be ON!
What i'm looking forward to: Bonnie and Jeremy. The angst that is Damon and Elena.
