first a word from our sponsor - Hello all! This is my foray into the world of blogosphere. My hope is to inspire conversation and provide a different point of view regarding one of the great new shows on TV, The Event. Feel free to leave a comment or follow me on Twitter @iowa_card. I will do my best to respond quickly however life happens. Enjoy!

Sean Walker, Texas Ranger

Is it me or are there way to many coincidences in the show? The RV smashing into the car to free Sean at an opportune time. The discovery of Vickey’s “child” and that is what causes her to turn from super agent of evil to do-gooder? Entire building of Federal Agents annihilated and no repercussions? No follow-up by Vickey’s boss to ensure she fulfilled her rookie mission? Wow. Agent Collier is a bit too helpful. The President of the United States personally interrogates a prisoner. Doesn’t he have a country to run?

Sean is presumably a video game programmer. The circumstances and multiple deux ex machine lead me to believe everything we are seeing is not real. Recall the super-cool movie The Thirteenth Floor. The protagonist ended up having to find his way thru a false reality in order to get to reality. There is more to it than that but that is the gist of it.

If this is a reality shaped by Sean, then perhaps that would explain the change in Vickey. Maybe subconsciously his values are embedded in her; hence the not killing the baby and getting by with it. It is unlikely that her superbad, super-secret employer would let her get by with that crap. The only explanation was that they wanted that baby separated from his family and raised in secret by Vickey.

Why not kill Sean before now? Because it is his world and outside the parameters of his program. His game/world seems to be influenced by The Stand by Stephen King. There is a flu beginning to rear its ugly head. Additionally, the passengers of flight 514 were seemingly infected. Incidentally, Texas is the location the virus in The Stand was released to the public inadvertently. An item to consider is was the DNA of the passengers altered by the incident? Did anyone bother to check? Apparently there was time to do scans to indicate mitochondrial activity and not really dead. Sean must be a fan of Star Wars (it’s the midichloreans). It has been noted by others, a boy on a mission to rescue a princess. Which brings me to the Bohanans.

Was Sean recruited by Leila? He is a swimmer. She happens to meet him via her inability to swim. This was during the same time of Vickey’s recruitment. Weird coincidence. She manipulates him into going to her family for Thanksgiving. Grilled by Mike Buchanan, Sean proves how easily he can lie. Who the heck are his parents? Is his background fuzzy because he is trying to escape his past and purposely excluded details of his life. Sean’s background is just a sketchy as Vickey’s and we have seen she is no angel. He keeps asking for a gun as though he knows how to use. Odd.

Fun with dates:

Dates on the prisoners in file reviewed by the President:

November 2, 1944– discovery of the “non-terrestrials”. November 2 is also All Souls Day and day 2 of Day of the Dead celebrations. On this day those that have died are remembered and honored. The town of Merseberg, Germany is bombed. Center for chemical factories.

December 9, 1953 – Linus Pauling correspondence with Alexander Rich discussing idea on how to proceed with experiments. Pauling was involved in DNA research. Linus Pauling Institute is at Oregon State University. One of Vicky’s many drivers licenses is from Oregon.

April 25, 1986– Chernobyl. Now that is an event.

October 4, 2009 – death of German fighter ace Gunther Rall. Best I could come up with at this time.

The scotch Michael handed Sean, from 1896.

Some key events of that year:

Discovery of what would later be termed x-rays
Deadly heat wave in the northeastern US.
3rd worst tornado recorded rips through St. Louis
Remains of what is thought to be giant octopus found.

Fun fact – number one song the day listed for Vicky’s birthday, February 23, 1985, was Careless Whispers.

Hebrew year 5314 – Jews persecution in Italy. The year is 1553 AD. Pope Julius III. decreed (Aug. 12, 1553), at the suggestion of the inquisitor general, the confiscation and burning of all copies of the Talmud belonging to Jews.

5314 – converting it via Masonic Calendar it becomes……… wait for it…….. 1314 AD. Why is this important? This is the year that the “last” of the Knights Templar were burned to death. Why Masons, no mention of them on the show, you say. Yes you are correct. However, the Truthseeker Blog has several links related to conspiracy theories. Masons have long been a pillar of conspiracy theories. Illuminti, New World Order, symbols so dramatically pointed out in Brown’s The Lost Symbol. More of this thread will be pulled on another time.

Who are the detainees? Are they the watchers mentioned in the book of Enoch? These beings mingled with humans and created a hybrid offspring. They were to only watch over the events of mankind. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W…..er_(angel) ) Enoch was an ancestor of Noah and supposedly knew of the Great Flood – quite an event.

One of Enoch’s children was Methusehla – a term used to represent something that reaches a very advanced age. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methuselahorg/wiki/Methuselah, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E…..r_of_Noah) ).

Marvel comics had a character race called the Watchers. (http://www.comicvine.com/watch…..r/29-7120/ )This omnipotent being has sworn never to interfere with the happenings of the Universe, only to watch.

History

The Watcher is many times the superior of any mere man. All he does is travel his lonely route, stopping from time to time to look about him. It is as if his only mission is to watch. His home planet is at the furthest end of the known universe, a planet containing the greatest scientific wonders of all time. If one was to seize some of these scientific treasures, he would have power such as no human has ever dreamed of possessing.

One of the first races of beings in the universe, The Watchers developed technology and evolved billions of years before nearly all species. With the best of intentions the Watchers used this knowledge to interfere with the evolutionary and technological advancements of a primitive species. The residents of Prosilicus, not ready for these advancements annihilated one another with this new technology.

The Watchers horrified by these actions, swore to only observe and never to interfere with the happenings of the universes Later, A Watcher observed a not yet formed Galactus in a cocoon. Honoring their oath of non-interference the Watcher watched as Galactus came to be the Devourer of Worlds.

The clothes in 1944. Why do they look normal? Were the clothes tested in 1944 or later for material composition?

Finally, there was an analyst named Sean Walker on the series 24.

I hope this spurs some thoughts and discussion. It is not my intention to persuade anyone of anything in particular but to propose hypothesis for consideration.

Stay Classy.
