Update: 22nd April Latest Numbers Posted

Here is a little table that I've been keeping up to date for all Viewing Numbers for this season to date.

Note:
Numbers are in millions and are the final daily ratings.
Only the major network shows are included.
There might be some slight errors. If you find any please let me know in the comments along with what it wrong and what the corrections should be.

Hope some of you find this useful.

1. Thanks, Dark. Makes it easy to see what's holding and what's not!

2. I think you are missing 1 episode from Glee...

ReplyDelete
3. DH is doing fantastic, even better than Grey's! :D Thank you for this! :)

ReplyDelete
4. In fact there is an error;

DH 7.03 is missing; there you go:
Desperate Housewives (61 minutes)
- 12.379 million viewers
- 7.9/12 HH
- 3.9/10 A18-49
How about you make a list by the numbers, instead of alphabetic, think it would be more interesting :)

5. Shame the total number of viewers doesn't actually matter to networks, but we the viewers certainly appreciate numbers we can actually understand. Numbers that make sense?! It matters to us so thank you for taking the time to do this.

ReplyDelete
6. I'm happy, The Mentalist is in third place xD

I can't belive, The Simpsons still has an average of 8.10 million viewers, very nice!

Thanks for the info!

ReplyDelete
7. I really hope Fringe picks up in the next few weeks...

ReplyDelete
8. At least Supernatural is consistant XD

ReplyDelete
9. so i don't understand how the CW is doing so well as a whole. all their shows have at the most 3.6 views per episode, is that the norm for a purely teenage target network?? If its not then all their shows are doing poorly.

Thanks for posting this, it does give a highlight on how popular shows are today.

ReplyDelete
10. I´m glad that House is consitant, but low anyway :( , And also worry about Fringe is getting very low ratings!!!!! This season is excellent!!!. Fox better not cancelled it.

ReplyDelete
11. Why the fricking images? It would be a 100 times more convenient in a normal table. You could search them, you would not have to open them separately, you could sort them by any column, the hovered row could be automatically highlighted.

12. Thanks great Chart Andy but can i make a couple suggestions

to make info more accurate can it maybe be done in two decimal places instead of 1 like for example 2.53 million viewers instead of 2.5 and can we have a seperate one for cable shows like Dexter, True Blood etc. for 3 different seasons in cable for the year Jan-Apr, Apr-Sept, Sept-Dec and also what does the % change represent vs last year? or vs premiere

ReplyDelete
13. I'm afraid that this season I've only been capturing the data to 1
decimal place. Maybe next season when the new seasons start again I
can look at storing the data to 2 decimal places.

As for other cable shows we don't currently capture them, we only
capture the the main broadcast networks. Again I'll look at maybe
doing this for next season if time permits.

Thanks for the suggestions, they are much appreciated.

ReplyDelete
14. Thanks Charlie.

I'll make sure it's updated for the next posting.

ReplyDelete
15. My pleasure.

I'll try to update it every couple of weeks.

ReplyDelete
16. Thanks Logan, I'll get it in for the next update.

ReplyDelete
17. Because I didn't have time to make a table.

You're more than welcome to collate all the info yourself and make a
table that you can share with us all here

ReplyDelete
18. if you want i can help get the data for you an e-mail them to you or something for cable shows? and i understand for the 1 decimal place for broadcast shows anychance you can add Demo's to them too?

ReplyDelete
19. Okay that sounds good does excel work for you? if i send it to you through Micfosoft Excel?

ReplyDelete
20. Doesn't tools like these too make it easy and quick?

http://tableizer.journalistopia.com/
http://www.kryogenix.org/code/browser/sorttable/

It worked for the small test table I tried it with.

ReplyDelete
21. Andy you take the final numbers, right? Because DH episode 1, for instance, was over 13 million in its final ratings.

ReplyDelete
22. Can someone explain me this numbers? I mean, I understand the average per episode, but loss/gain or drop %...I mean if a show have -0.3 like SPN for example, is a good think or bad think? Because I check the numbers with a show with big audience like Criminal Minds and this show have -1.5 in loss/gain but in drop Criminal Minds with 14.03 millions of viewers have 10.69 and SPN with 2.53 millions of viewers have 10.71 so I don't understand what's a positive number for a show in this:)

ReplyDelete
23. Did you average B&S tpta; fpr the ;ast episode because the first half hour it had over 9 million viewers. Also the numver look too high for House episode based on what TV by the numbers reported. Confused :(

ReplyDelete
24. GO, Team Gibbs and Team SpoilerTV! :D
I love them both! ^^

ReplyDelete
25. Just wondering if you sent it yet?

ReplyDelete
26. Thanks, the 2nd one uses an external Javascript library that we don't
want to use on the site as it slows the pages down.

The first one create a table that is too large to display on the
site.. I'll have a play to see what we can do.

ReplyDelete
27. Thanks for the kind offer.

I've no plans this season to add the demos as it's just too much work currently.

As for the cable shows, that would be great if you can email me a
spreadsheet of the data in a similar format. I can then incorporate
that into my main spreadsheet and update it.

ReplyDelete
28. We use the final official numbers from Nielsen.

Sorry I've no idea what " B&S tpta; fpr the ;ast episode" means?

ReplyDelete
29. Bones' is dropping...I don't like that...
I'm glad House's keeping a balance =)

ReplyDelete
30. omg... LUX has only 1.3 m viewers... and HU! I had forgotten about Lonestar... now my hearts breaks again

31. SmallvilleSupernaturalCastle19 November 2010 at 00:15

DarkUFO if u can put this up its pretty important for smallville fans
http://www.peopleschoice.com/pca/vote/votenow.jsp?category=&pollId=&optionId=
FOR SMALLVILLE FANS, SMALLVILLE HAS BEEN NOMINATED FOR A PEOPLE CHOICE AWARD FOR BEST SCI FI/FANTASY SHOW!!! IT HAS SOME STIFF COMPETITION SO MAKE SURE U ALL VOTE!! SMALLVILLE HAS BEEN ON 10 YEARS AND THIS IS THE LAST TIME WE CAN GIVE IT A CHANCE TO WIN A PEOPLE CHOICE! SO LETS CELEBRATE THE FINAL SEASON OF SMALLVILLE BY VOTING FOR IT!!

ReplyDelete
32. 1,9. Okay I need a moment make my heart work again. It was sooooo good wtf

ReplyDelete
33. Not good. I felt sure with the Live+7 data the ratings would improve dramatically. This puts SPN squarely in with the rest of the CW's ratings, minus VD and Smallville. And Fringe goes against it next month.

ReplyDelete
34. I know, its the first time I'm nervous about season 7. Two weeks in a row of bad numbers. Not so proud of the fans... "fight for the show" "Best fans" YEAH RIGHT SCREW YOU!!!

SOrry sorry low sugar. IF YOU DONT GET IT THEN YOU SHOULD HAVE WATCH IT FRIDAY NIGHT. okay no seriously sorry I need sleep EHHEHEHE. ;PPP

ReplyDelete
35. i don't know why it's 1.9 when it was 2.0... either way it'll be fine! you only have to worry if it's a constant low rating and i don't think it will be

ReplyDelete
36. plus if you look at it from a logical standpoint... Smallville is ending this season and I think it's One Tree Hill's last season so there not gonna get rid of Supernatural too so they kinda win by default... Supernatural and Vampire Diaries are the CW's top shows... just saying lol

ReplyDelete
37. I KNOW LOL! ahahah I'm telling myself that all the time but even if we stay I hope we stay because our viewers are watching. Crossing finger for next ep but I dont think it wil be better.

ReplyDelete
38. who knows but i'm guessing once Sam get his soul back it'll be better... but either way i think we'll be good with a season 7

ReplyDelete
39. Yeah thats my guess to. And if we get season 7 then ROBOSam is gone maybe the folks that stoped watching this season will watch the next. :DDDD AW! happy me happy me.

ReplyDelete
40. Except that these numbers don't take into account the Live +7 Ratings. They come out 2 weeks later. We'll learn on monday if the pre-emption boosted the dvr ratings for ep 608, then the week after that for ep 609 ;)

ReplyDelete
41. Supernatural should NEVER dip below 2.0 million viewers. :(

ReplyDelete
42. No i'm not quite finished yet i'm very close though i have not included shows from other countries such as canada because i am not able to find the data i just have a few shows left to do and then i'm done and then i'll send it tou you but how do i send it to you? or how do i send it as an attachment?

also is there anychance these ratings can be sorted by viewers as well rather than just by alphabet?

ReplyDelete
43. Except we'll never now Supernatural's Live+7 cause they only report the Top 25 supernatural never makes it to the top 25 so it sin't reported in Live+7

ReplyDelete
44. Regarding November 29 update, thank you. This confirms what I always thought: if I like a show, the ratings will go down (a conspiracy or else it has to do with my taste?). Community and Raising Hope are both in the negatives. The Event is starting to get interesting -- also going down. These actually are my only regular faves from this list, as The Good Wife and The Walking Dead are not on there yet. I think those are safe.

ReplyDelete
45. @ DarkUFO did you get the attachment for the cable show ratings i sent you?

ReplyDelete
46. It did make it in the top 25 for episode 606 in total viewers (30% increase) and for episode 607 in adults 18-49 (+0.4) ;)

ReplyDelete
47. Yes thanks :) I'll be going through it shortly.

ReplyDelete
48. I love these charts! Thank you. Anyone else find it a little funny or odd that Modern Family is last year's break out hit and all around critic's darling this year with around 12 million a week.... but Mike and Molly and Sh@# My Dad Says are right behind it with just over or under 11 most weeks (Mike & Molly outperformed MF this week) and yet all I have heard about Mike & Molly and Shat MY Dad Says is bad reveiws and how much they suck. I like them and so do about 11 million others, but I have yet to see a good critic reveiw... and very few on here for that matter.

ReplyDelete
49. Weeds is listed twice on this list, any reason why?

ReplyDelete
50. I might try and do an Demo Ratings table if I ever get some spare
time. I think you'll find that SMDS and M&M get much lower Demo
numbers.

Anyway glad you like the charts and we'll try to improve of these and
other charts next year.

ReplyDelete
51. My sheer incompetence :)

I'll make sure it's removed for the next episode.

Thanks for the heads up.

ReplyDelete
52. I'm so happy for the increase in Lie to Me's ratings. Hope it stays that way.

ReplyDelete
53. Incorrect figures in Glee. The re-runs of Glee just had an average rating of 5.5M this season2. Padding them up to more than 11M is ridiculous.

ReplyDelete
54. Sorry I don't understand. What do reruns have to do with anything

ReplyDelete
55. This doesn't include re-runs. This are just for original episodes

ReplyDelete
56. I think he thinks you include reruns on the tally.

ReplyDelete
57. i'm happy the ratings for lie to me went up dramatically. hopefully it will continue and then fox will have no choice but to renew it :)

ReplyDelete
58. Why are the Lie to me numbers off in this table.... 4th-6.0, 12th- 5.7, 19th-5.7, 23rd-4.4, nov 9th- 5.6, 16th- 6.0, 23rd-5.7.... some are off by .1 and others are off by as much as .5. I'm just curious. Thanks!! I don't ever comment but my curiosity got me to comment haha

ReplyDelete
59. WOW great work! Thanks for doing this. I really like it.

ReplyDelete
60. The latest HIMYM episode's missing, and it was the highest rated of the season.

ReplyDelete
61. Thanks Emil.

Looks like I missed all the episodes from the 13th.

I'll make sure they are all added when I post the updated table in the new year.

ReplyDelete
62. I love the tables, very nicely done and I appreciate the time you take to update it all for every show, though I notice you've missed Pretty Little Liars from there.

ReplyDelete
63. Consistantly dropping. Hope they start swinging around soon.

ReplyDelete
64. CW is consistantly losing money. Partly why Dawn O. is leaving. I think they will not expand until there shows starts targeting the larger demo groups. The yeenage group will not keep them solvent.

ReplyDelete
65. Well, they were consistant when I first wrote the comment. I hope the ratings go back up to.

ReplyDelete
66. Are you using Live viewing + DVR playback within 7 days. I ask because House TBTN live viewer totals are significantly lower than what you're reporting.

ReplyDelete
67. Yet again, there's a problem with DH: only 11 episodes are shown to have aired. 12 have. And I know at least the ratings for the 11th episode belong to the 12th.

ReplyDelete
68. Thanks Samuel, do you have the figures for the 11th to hand. I'll make
sure I update it when I next refresh the tables.
