WHY WATCH “BROTHERS & SISTERS”
Are you one of those people who are sick and tired of switching on the TV and find only reality TV shows with people yelling at each other with no certain reason, or are you tired of switching it off and be left with nothing? Well, that’s the first step towards a better use of television and so towards shows like “Brothers & Sisters”.
“Brothers & Sisters” is the perfect example of smart and clever TV, where you can find several themes that you can relate yourself, or someone else to. The one-hour show that’s gonna stick you to your television screen, because you feel involved somehow in the Walker family mess! “Brothers & Sisters” opens and stirs up to dialogue, pushes people’s buttons and provokes all of those taboos that there may be in the society, in the family or between friends to just come out with an explosion that can only lead to a Walker-style fight ending with understanding. The drama shows how you can relate to people who are a world different than you are, how can you respect someone else even though they’re not like you and to appreciate all of the differences between people recognizing in them a surplus value. And the greatest thing is that you can deal with such serious matters so lightly, and having fun! In fact, this show is not boring and flat like, for example, going to the church. Its ability to mix important themes with funny and hilarious storylines and gags it’s one of the most fascinating things you can get from this TV show! Sometimes you find yourself laughing with tears on your face, other times you just feel breathless.
Not less important, you can get to see in only one show actors like Oscar-winner Sally Field, famous Ally McBeal’s player Calista Flockhart, Ron Rifkin from Alias and Rachel Griffiths from Six Feet Under. And also you can get to know some great, young and hot actors like Matthew Rhys, Luke MacFarlane, Dave Annable and Gilles Marini.
Why watch “Brothers & Sisters” and why now? Well, because like it’s already been said it opens up your mind in more way than one, which is useful in this kind of world so progressive but still so close, then because its fifth season just kicked in, and it’s a complete reinvention of the show with one-year-time-jump, so you can easily sit and watch for the very first time without feeling completely lost in the desert! You won’t get disappointed, all the family is waiting for you at the dinner table, are you in? We are!
