Undercovers - Alan Dale With Recurring Role

30 Oct 2010

Alan Dale has signed on for a recurring role on NBC's Undercovers, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

The 63-year-old actor will play James Kelvin, the boss of Shaw (Gerald McRaney) and the man responsible for bringing Steven and Samantha Bloom back to the CIA. Although the couple were told they were recruited to rescue Leo Nash, the real reason involves elements from the Blooms' past in which Kelvin is interested.

He will make his first appearance in Episode 11, but viewers will begin hearing his voice in episode 8.

Dale is best known for his work on Lost, Ugly Betty and The O.C. He most recently guest-starred on Burn Notice.

  1. Good thing that this character will be connected to mythological elements, all the loner episodes are pretty boring (after the pilot, there was only one allusion in episode 1.04 to the real reason why Sam and Steven were brought back, and that's all for the mythological part so far). Alan Dale was great on Lost and 24.

But they better be careful because it might be too late to start developping an interesting story, because I'm not sure NBC will be willing to let the show go on with its poor ratings.

  2. I don't even watch the show, but the part that says "Viewers will begin hearing his voice in episode 8" makes me think it will be like Pad Man from the epic Prison Break season 2, oh the nostalgia...Alan Dale even looks like Leon Russom
