FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19
"SUPERNATURAL" - (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)
"Clap Your Hands If You Believe" (CONTENT RATING TBD) (HDTV)
FAIRIES! - While Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) are investigating a UFO sighting, Dean is abducted from a crop circle. However, when he awakens, he discovers he isn't dealing with aliens, but fairies! Unfortunately, only Dean can see the fairy that keeps attacking him which makes tracing and stopping them difficult. The brothers become even more perplexed when Sam's investigation leads them to a world full of elves, gnomes and a leprechaun. John Showalter directed the episode written by Ben Edlund (#609).

At first I was a bit skeptical about this (Oh, who am I kidding, I still am), but first two things that popped into my mind when I read this were: Tall tales & Loki. We could use one of those episodes.
ReplyDeleteI hope the Leprechaun says "They're always after me lucky charms" :P
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great episode. It should be fun. I hope they go down the evil fairy route.
ReplyDeleteAlthough there will prob be complaints about another episode where something happens to Dean and not Sam, but I feel that it makes a change for Sam to have to worry and help Dean as in the past it has always been the other way round, and we still don't know what is up with Sam so it is interesting to see how he reacts to his brother in danger, although hopefully by the time this episode is shown we will have some of the answers about Sam.
I hope your right...the trickster episodes are my favorites of the series. I hope they bring back Gabriel (the trickster).
ReplyDeleteSQUEE!!! This is gonna be one crazy awesome episode. :D
ReplyDeleteyeah u rite..., it sound like a trickster.., but gabriel already dead killing by lucifer..., so its really big question for me...O_o
ReplyDeleteI thought of that too, but Castiel technically died too in the season finale and he got brought back, so maybe Gabriel got brought back too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Gabe back as much as the next guy, but I don't think that'll be the case. Maybe they go into a closet and get to Narnia or something
ReplyDeletelol sound's so funny lol .
ReplyDeleteGabriel wasn't a trickster after all, they should use a real trickster, I think they haven't. Gabriel is dead now, his wings were shown and all ha
ReplyDeleteyeah yeah it could sound funny, but Supernatural kinda fucked up after all the seriousness of Sam now, and crappy Grandpa being around, also Dean having a 'family' and worrying about Lisa and the kid. Sam doesn't even have emotions anymore and it ruins fun episodes like this one. This episodes could be good for Season 1 or 2 but not for a season that follows the Apocalypse. Why don't they start making episodes like the masterpieces of Season 4 and 5?
ReplyDeleteBring back Death, answer if Chuck was really God, say something about the current war in Heaven that Castiel mentioned, God's weapon's status, Balthazar (it was forgotten all of a sudden), let Castiel be in more episodes!!!, mention at least what happened to Micheal, imagine an angel on hell, he should be being raped by now he
No, not really since you cannot say who was older Loki or the angels.
ReplyDeleteGeesh, did you bit into a lemon? So Sam is serious NOW, maybe he isn't that serious anymore when episode 9 comes up. I don't like grandpa Campbell myself but give the guy a break he has been in 3 episodes so far, there are still 17 left. The same goes for Lisa and Ben, we don't even know if they will be still around for episode 9, so relax a bit. Did you ever hear of character growth? That's the reason why Dean has a family and worries about them. You do know that they can't bring back Death, answer if the Chuck is God and do everythingelse you want in 2 episodes! Wait a little bit and see! And Eric Kripke repeatedly said they're not gonna say if Chuck is God or not, 'it's open to interpretation' means they're not gonna say it, you have to find youre own answer. Balthazar appeared TWO EPISODES ago, have some patience. Greedy kids don't get anything. You should know that Supernatural loves to make us wait. It's part of its charm.
ReplyDeletemm.. k...
ReplyDeleteGabriel SAID he was Loki to the other gods...he isn't really Loki, and in this show at least, the Christian god created everything and only Death might be older than him. So even though in history Norse gods might have been venerated before the Christian beings (not sure about this neither), in this show the Christians are the bosses ha
ReplyDeleteEither he is Loki or he isn't. Brother of Baldur and son of Odin, otherwise that whole little story of Odin during 'Hammer of the Gods' doesn't add up. Nobody said on the show that the Christian God created everything, Death said he wasn't sure if God created him or if Death was there before him, meaning the other Gods could have been there before him but since their time was over they were reaped by Death. And if you had paid attention, Lucifer even mentioned himself that the other Gods were there before THEM. "no wonder you forfeited this planet to us", means all the other Gods are older than the Christian God and his angels, so theoritically Gabriel MUST have been Loki first before he became Gabriel. :P
ReplyDeleteLOL. This sounds so epic. I can't wait to see Sam and Dean chase down some fairies.... I can't believe I just said that :P Still sounds awesome though. Can't wait!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like really bad fanfic to me, which is exactly why it will end up being one of people's favorite episodes. The worse the premise the more classic the episode tends to be. (Exception: killer racist truck - nothing could be done with that episode).
ReplyDeleteOn the contrary, I think the fact that Edlund is the one that wrote it is what'll make it legendary :) Some of the most memorable episodes were the ones written by him -- and, hey, dammit, why is Dean suddenly the one always getting himself into these messes? Dean gets turned, Dean gets cursed, Dean gets a bunch of freaking fairies sicced on him? Sera, is Dean your punching bag this year?
ReplyDelete>>>And Eric Kripke repeatedly said they're not gonna say if Chuck is God or not, 'it's open to interpretation' means they're not gonna say it, you have to find your own answer. <<<<<<
ReplyDeleteWhich kinda depresses me, because I really wanna see Rob come back O.o
or maybe now the brother face the real trickster, not an angel who play becoming trickster..., bobby was tell trickster is half a an angel...? O_o
ReplyDeleteSo true, thinking back to Sam and Dean having a day repeated over and over, going into TV land, the first trickster episode and even some non-trickster ones that I can't be bothered to list right now were really good even though they sounded a lot like fanfiction.
ReplyDeleteEdlund is legendary, I absolutely love his episodes. Dean gets into the messes. Sam gets his soul taken away. That probably justifies something in Sera's mind. Or maybe she just likes torturing Sam and Dean. Or maybe, the monsters don't like Sam because HE DOESN'T HAVE A FREAKING SOUL.
Sorry!! XD I'm still shocked and furious over Sam having his soul taken away.
But the Christian God is the same one as the Jewish God and they were worshipping him for hundreds of years before christianity came about, so he is very old. Look at the Bible, only the New testament is about jesus and the beginning of christianity. The Old testament is about hundreds of years before. Moses heard from God around the time of Rameses the great and I think that was before the Norse gods were being worshipped.
ReplyDeleteThis would be the perfect episode for Gabriel to come back to life in! O.o
ReplyDeleteFairies- sounds very humorous.
