'Cougar Town', week after week, proves to be a very fun show that knows exactly what it wants to be. It doesn't try to be anything more, and it certainly never rates as anything less, than pure, harmless fun.
And I find myself not really ever having much to say about 'Cougar Town' for that very reason. I don't feel I have to assess what was good and bad week in, week out. It has a level of consistency that means I know exactly what I'm getting with this show - a show about a group of unlikely mates drinking wine and singing songs together.
But 'Makin' Some Noise' did have a few particular highlights, including Travis almost immediately falling into his square-head nickname (I'm going to be a quiet badass, like Harry Potter), Laurie serving and owning Ellie in the one go, Bobby immediately driving down to Trav's campus on the buggy, and the cul-de-sac crew immediately all turning on their emergency glowsticks, something I know from experience is very hard not to do.
Ayala posted a fun post entitled 'Cougar Town - Ten Reasons To Watch This Show' which I reccommend you give a read here. It pretty much covers all my feelings about the show too.
So as I still try to get to terms with this regular blogging schedule, I think Cougar Town will be one of those shows that gets only an occasional mention, especially as I'd like to focus on the NBC sitcoms for right now.
But I really, really like this show, whatever it's title is.
What did everyone else think?
