As for the ratings woes, Karpluk admits that when news of a numbers nosedive first hit the cast and crew, many were disappointed. But Karpluk says the initial reports didn't figure in PVR (personal video recorder) data, which suggests the show still has a healthy following.
"The CBC was stoked -- as were we -- because we were a bit devastated at first," Karpluk says. Karpluk says she is hopeful the show will return for a fourth season as its PVR sales are solid and it’s been picked up in more than 150 countries.
