Thanks to Esteban for the heads up.
Don’t hold out for closure, Heroes fans: A key source on the canceled drama told EW that NBC is not moving forward with a movie that would wrap up the four-year series. After the Peacock announced the show’s cancellation last May, there was some talk about allowing creator Tim Kring to give fans one more chance to say goodbye to their favorite characters, but that’s as far as it went.
NBC would not comment Thursday.

I watched most of it, but I was watching hoping to get glimpses of season one. Didn't happen, lol :(
ReplyDeleteI think shows like Heroes has made NBC gunshy. They really kicked Persons Unknown to the curb pretty quick.
ReplyDeleteThe network did stick with Heroes through three seasons of ratings decline... it's not like they bailed at the first sign of trouble.
ReplyDeleteFirst season was awesome... and then they spent three seasons killing every bit of the show most of us loved. "Heroes" doesn't deserve a 'proper' ending as it never really gave us a 'proper' story to begin with.
ReplyDeleteEven though I gave up on this about 4 episodes in Season 3, it's still a shame to see something so good at it's pinnacle end without an ending. Sad that some channels just give up on things that millions of people have put hours and hours into for year, and then leave them with no ending.
ReplyDeletethat's really too bad, cause season 4 was very weak and didn't put an end to the storyline at all, I really hoped for a closing movie, every series end would be better than season 4. But as everyone complains Heroes got bad in the second season, I actually enjoyed season 2 and I thought season 3 was grrrreat, especially volume four. Season 4 was a disaster, though, so I really hoped for a movie to make Heroes end better...
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing for Lost, that it went wrong, It wasn't Lost anymore after the finale of Season 2 when Michael and Walt left the island. But despite that, I still liked it, though : )
ReplyDeleteYep, I enjoyed Season 1, it all started to go wrong very early in
ReplyDeleteSeason 2 which I barely made it through. I stopped during S3
R.I.P. Heroes.
ReplyDeleteGeez, I'm not saying they deserved it, but I would have definitely watched. That first season of Heroes was a T-H-R-I-L-L.
ReplyDeleteoh my, what a shocking announcement! I would've never thought they won't do this :S
ReplyDelete(PS! Irony)
ufff! :(
ReplyDeleteNever seen the series so I don't know if it is/was any good or not. But I think that if they aren't making a movie for the cinema at least make a straight to DVD release.
