  1. Huge storylines lining up? Yeah, mostly for Walter and Olivia. Peter is a big old nobody who does nothing. His storyline will be cut in half, he will spend all of it falling for AltIOlivia and then every single person watching the show will hate him. Thank you Fringe for ruining Peter's character.

  2. You know what, none of you are helping at all. Everytime I want to see Peter be more than the boring sidekick, people HAVE to shove Olivia's the star, Olivia gets the big plots, this show is not about Peter Bishop, Walter and Olivia are more important than Peter down my throats. Whatever. Peter is a insignificant character, simple as that. Just admit it.

Thank you Wilson, Peter shouldn't get a decent storyline that showcases josh's talent because Anna Torv is the star. Whatever.

  3. Actually, if you check the credits, Anna Torv is the first on the list. That technically means she IS the star of the show and, generally this also means her character will be the forefront of plot.

  4. Don't bother trying to reason with LauraFan1 above. She is a well known troll, that has been repeating the same stuff and insulting Joshua Jackson, Anna Torv and John Noble all over the internet.

  5. Oh God... Yeah, you're right. And you are aware that Peter Bishop from Our Side died when he was young, which led Walter to accidentally (?) kidnap him from the Other Side...? which means there is only one Peter Bishop, while pretty much everyone else has a double. And since we're spending the season's first half on both sides (some math: let's say the season has 22/24 episodes, half of it equals 11/12), which should mean 5 to 6 episodes on each side... it already means half as much Peter... and since there is only one Peter Bishop... Yup, it amounts to half as much Peter. That's a fact. It will also mean half as much Rachel, Ella, Charlie and Gene... So, do you want to see more Peter Bishop because he is cute (hands down) or do you want to see the character "Peter Bishop" being better developped, because it intrigues you and you think that he plays a bigger role, yet unknown, in this plot?

Now, I don't know about you, but to me is kind of logical that Olivia and Walter have more airtime: to begin with, Fringe was designed to be a science fiction show with a female leading character, Olivia Dunham. That's a fact - TPTB have always said that. Then, if you've paid enough attention to the episodes, Walter "simply" caused a war by kidnapping Peter (he created the first crack between the Universes), thus being somewhat responsible by the stuff that is happenning (so, no kidnapping Peter from the Other Side = no crack between the Universes = no war = no Pattern = ??)...

Now, don't get me wrong - I do believe that Peter's character is kinda underdevelopped. I trully hope there is a reason for it. However, I prefer to see some character "quality" developpment in less airtime than him being on every single episode doing the most random things one can imagine (as an example, think about a character that doesn't have much airtime but is one of most intriguing on the show - Nina Sharp). As a fan, I'd like to dwelve into Peter's past, I'd like to understand who he is, what moves him and exactly what's his role in this plot - i'd gladly take that, even if it meant seeing Peter every other episode (or on 12 episodes out of 24), rather than seeing in EVERY SINGLE EPISODE, like Olivia's hollow sidekick.

  6. Seriously?! Your problem with Peter's character storyline not being as developped as everyone else' is based on the fact that he will "spend all of it falling for AltIOlivia and then every single person watching the show will hate him"?! Seriously??? Are you kidding me?! The guy has the power to destroy the freaking Universe - or at least one of the universes, or sides (wtv)!!!!! Do you have that much faith in the minds that have created such a fantastic show that you honestly believe that they'll reduce Peter Bishop's character to that - a mere pawn in a lovestory?! How about expecting to understand some things about his character (something called character depth) by, per example, the relationship that he develops with AltLivia, the one that he now has to redefine with Walter or even Nina, Broyles and Astrid?? Does your mind allow you to wonder if Peter's relationship with AltLivia may actually show you a little bit more about whom he is, why he really stayed in Boston or what moves him, rather than just a love thing?? And what if we had Our Olivia back and not AltLivia, do you think they would also ruine Peter's character?? And if there was not a love story and just the freakness of The Pattern?

Geez...!!! As a Fringe whole-cast-fan, I beg you to have a little more faith in the characters. And the show. And the minds behind it. Remember that as far as we know, everyone is a part of the equation, from Olivia to Astrid. And get one thing straight: Fringe is not a story about Peter Bishop.

  7. And Fringe is not all about Walter and olivia but they spend every single episode centering on them AND to top it off, we will see TWICE as much Walter and olivia while peter will be in half the episodes meaning his storyline will be cut in half, too. BTW, who gives a crap about relationships and emotions. People care more about Olivia kicking ass and blowing up stuff. So frankly, all the episodes in the AU will get the good reviews while the ones on our side will be dull, boring, no action, no blowing up stuff, Peter will be stuck in the lab doing nothing, olivia will be in the AU getting to do all the cool stuff which will be memorable and everyone will brag. Peter will do nothing and be criticized for it.

John and anna are ALWAYS given all the cool stuff while peter will do nothing! nothing! nothing!
