After surviving a club fire, a tornado and a block party plane crash, Desperate Housewives will next be rocked by an earthquake that'll unleash prehistoric creatures on Wisteria Lane! Just joshin'. Seems series creator Marc Cherry realizes he's run out sweeps stunts and is getting back to basics.
"I'm not doing another big gimmicky natural disaster this year; I'm trying something different," reveals Cherry. "My big cliffhanger right before we take our Christmas break will have to do with Paul Young. He has a plan for destroying the neighborhood. There will a shocking cliffhanger that effects everyone's lives, and then right before February sweeps, we're going to kill off one of our characters." You know he wishes he could take out Edie again.

yes it would be another sauce in this season :)
ReplyDeleteThey were always a tad over the top.
ReplyDeleteLOL, loved the "he wishes he could kill Edie again" bit. So true. Anyway, I like the fact that Cherry is trying something more down to Earth. I never really enjoyed the natural disasters plots...
ReplyDeleteThat sounds really strange, but interesting. I would like to see what he has in mind :)
ReplyDeleteI actually loved the tornado. Can't say the same for the club fire and the plane crash (haha, what a joke) though and I'm glad Cherry is not going for another disaster this year. As for the "cliffhanger" he mentions, you know it'll be another cop out. Nothing's really gonna happen, no major characters will die and the whole thing will take about two seconds to forget.
