CSI has finally succeeded in capturing Katee Sackhoff.
The Battlestar Galacitca firebrand and recent 24 alum—who was CSI producers’ first choice to replace Jorja Fox three years ago before a higher power inexplicably nixed her hiring—is joining the cast in a potentially recurring role, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Sackhoff will play Detective Reed, a smart, tough, and feisty investigator with an acknowledged lack of sensitivity. Her first episode is slated to air during November sweeps.
Ironically, Sackhoff’s role sounds an awful lot like the one she didn’t get—spitfire Riley Adams. (Lauren Lee Smith got that part. And then got canned). That’s Hollywood for ya!
Thoughts? Are you happy second time proved to be the charm for CSI and Sackhoff? Sound off below!

Why??? Isn't Sara still on the show? She's the original CSI with a lack of sensitivity.
ReplyDeleteRiley failed to catch on because she was Sara 2.0. So this one is going to be Sara 3.0 with the original Sara still on the show. The Sara fans will be p.o.'d because Reed is competing with Sara. The anti-Sara gang will be turned off because they dislike the original.
What is with the writers not being able to write a woman who is nice to the people she's investigating? The men all have tact.
