This week Annie tags along with her sister Danielle to Niagara Falls since her husband cancelled at the last minute. The trip is welcomed because after being knocked out last week and all the Ben Mercer drama, Annie could use some time off.
But the vacation is cut short when Yahya (pronounced ya-ya) an Iranian who wants to exchange information for asylum in America, contacts the CIA.
Annie picks Yahya up and he's definitely excited to be coming to America and that his dream is to get married and live in a house in New Jersey (The real housewives of New Jersey might change his mind). But Annie makes sure he understands that she's just there to check if his information has any value to the CIA, not to carry him to America. Annie tells Joan that Yahyah's documents claim that Iran is buying military technology in violation of UN sanctions. She tells Annie to fax the documents to the DPD. While Annie is faxing the documents, she has a flashback to Sri Lanka and Ben Mercer. We see Annie looking at Ben as he has a heated conversation with a vendor in a street market and another person whose face we can't see.
The DPD checks out the documents and they find that Iran is buying illegal items, but its not military technology. They're buying cigarettes and alcohol. Joan tells Annie that yahyah is more valuable if he goes back to Iran. Annie doesn't like the idea and Yahyah says that if the CIA won't help him he'll find his own way into America.
Later, Annie finds out that Yahyah is coming to America to find his childhood love Reudabeh. Danielle, being a hopeless romantic and missing her husband, contacts Reudabeh and she's now on her way up to Niagara Falls to meet Yahyah.
Back at the CIA, Arthur meets with Auggie and shows him a picture. Its Auggie (yes ladies he's shirtless) and Liza Hearns smooching. Auggie explains that he's sleeping with Liza to find the leak. Arthur believes him but he stills chews him out for good measure. Arthur says he wants Auggie to feed Liza some bogus information only a few people know about, 17 to be exact. If she figures out pretty quickly that its bogus that means her leak told her the real story. And the leak must be one of those 17 people.
Annie calls the DPD and tells Jai to find out about Yahyah's childhood love. She heads out looking for Yahyah and we get another flashback to Sri Lanka and Ben: They've run in from the pouring rain. Annie says that she flies home tomorrow and Ben, after a long unsure pause, says that she should change her flight, he wants her to stay. While Annie heads to get the number of the airport, Ben looks outside and sees a man, whose face we can't see, standing on the beach. From his facial expression he seems to know who the guy is. He turns around and wants to tell Annie something, but he stops himself. He just says he's heading out to get his sandals off the beach before they wash away.
Annie finds Yahyah who is meeting with Roudabeh and another man. Jai calls and alerts Annie that Roudabeh is still in New Jersey; she never left. So those people must be his Iranian handlers, who want Yahya back, dead or alive. They pull a gun on Yahyah and carry him away. Joan tells Annie to stand down; she's called the authorities and they'll handle it from here. But Annie can't help herself, she chases them through some tunnels and fights off the woman by grabbing a pipe and knocking her out. Yahyah throws himself and the other guy over a railing. Annie finds Yahyah hanging on for his life. She grabs a chain and pulls him up to safety. After all the fighting is over, Annie tells Yahya he's going to be let into America.
Back at the hotel Annie tries to catch up with Danielle but she already has company. Her husband flew in and they're spending some quality time together. Annie heads home. Vacation and mission over.
Following the plan, Auggie feeds the bogus information to Liza Hearns and that very night she comes back knowing that Auggie was playing games. Liza has to be getting her information from someone high up. Annie walks over just as Liza stomps away and asks if Auggie wants to talk about it; he says not right now. Annie grabs a seat and takes a look at Jai and something is familiar. As Jai walks over she remembers that the guy Ben was arguing with in the street market and the person on the beach that night was Jai! We see Ben on the beach arguing with Jai, thunder rumbling over head, lightning flashing as rain pours down. Wow, we always knew Jai and Ben had a past together, just didn't know it was in Sri Lanka. Good stuff.Cut to Annie holding the letter that Ben left on her pillow when he disappeared from Sri Lanka. She flicks on a lighter; places the flame next to it and watches as it burns... I think Annie is finally putting Ben Mercer in the past, where he belongs.
