Sookie and Bill: The action between Bill and Sookie starts off seconds from where it ended with Sookie saying, “I’m a fairy?” Yep that’s her big secret, Sookie is half Faerie and it turns out Faerie blood is delicious to vampires. So that’s why Bill was in Bon Tempts! Ut oh.. Bill continues his little history lesson by telling Sookie that Faires hate Vampires so much because it is widely believed that vampires are the reason for faires being extincet. But we know faries aren’t extinct so why the bad blood? Sookie asks Bill the question of the hour, “Do you love me for my blood, or for me?” Bill tells her that he loves her, but she seems a little unconvinced.
A little while later Eric shows up and things get a little tense. Eric claims he only came to tell Sookie goodbye, but really he came to find out if Sookie’s blood really allows Vampires to walk in the sunlight without getting burned. It seems that Eric is trying to think of a way to kill Russell and it involves Sookie…

A little later Sookie is taking a little nap and has a vampire blood sex dream about Eric. Man vampire blood must stay in your system forever! Dream Eric still makes it a point to tell Sookie that she can’t trust Bill, but still stays extremely vauge when it comes to why. When Sookie wake up from her nap she finds Jason, whom she shares a little heart-to-heart with. Jason still hasn’t told Tara that he was the one who shot Eggs and is afraid of what will happen once/if he decides to confess what really happened. Sookie tells him that keeping it a secret wont be make it any easier and that he should just tell her the truth. Yeah, that’s gonna happen.
Over in Bill’s neck of the woods, Vampires are still feeling the burn from Russell’s on air kill. Bill comes home to rest and finds a giant burning cross and the words, “Fangers go home!” written on his walls.

Sookie goes to visit Eric to find out why he said he won’t be around/why he keeps saying that she shouldn’t trust Bill. He tells her the whole Russell dealio and then tells Sookie that he wants one thing before he goes off, a kiss. They kiss passionately and Eric leaves the room to find Pam, who pleads that he use Sookie as bait for Russell so that he can stay alive. Or at the very least figure out how he can use her to his advantage.

Back at casa de Jason, Bill can’t find Sookie and begins yelling at Jason, who finally uses some of his smarts and resends his invitation, which magically pushes Bill out of the house. Trust me when I say it was really weird. Back at Fangtasia Eric decides to use Sookie to kill Russell and locks her in the basement dungeon. Bill gets a feeling that she is in danger and goes super-running to save her…

Tara and Jason: We open on Tara and Jason as they try and clean up the goopity goop that once was Franklin. Jason puts the goo in the truck and Tara puts some dirt over it, but not before spitting on his grave. No more ms. nice Tara.

They drive over to Jason’s house to try and regroup and find Sookie and Bill waiting for them. Tara continues to be a super sad sack and blames Bill for all vampires wrong doings. She even goes so far as to call them all monsters and that they can’t be trusted. Bill has a nice little chat with Jason, where he tells him just how fast a werewolf is when it is attacking, and how fast he has to be with a shotgun if he wants to kill them before they get the chance to kill him. Right between the eyes.

Jason and Sookie share a nice little talk about whether he should confess to killing Eggs, which leads directly to a situation where he could actually confess! The two share a nice chat and even share an awkward cry-into-a-kiss, but then just as she is crying and walking out the door, Jason finally admits that he was the one who killed Eggs. . Unfortunately she doesn’t take it as well and procceds to just cry and run away. When Jason walks back into the living room he finds Sookie is missing and has left a note saying she just left. So much for keeping an eye out for her.

Bill soon comes super-speeding in and yells at Jason for not looking out for Sookie. Jason then realizes that this is his house and resends his invitation, which sends him flying out like magic. He then hears a strange noise and goes to his room where there is the last thing you would expect: a black panther! And guess what, the panther is Crystal! She is a were-panther.

Jesus and Lafayette: Fresh off of picking up the badly beaten Calvin, Jesus and Lafayette stop at Lafayette’s house to get something to help Calvin. It turns out the hospital is 20 minutes away and Lafayette thinks a little vampire blood will do more for Calvin than any doctor could. The blood cures him but he and Crystal run away and get into a big fight about ruining “their bloodline”.

Jesus, as it turns out, has changed his opinion on vampire blood. Now that he has seen the magical properties of V he wants to take it and trip out with Lafayette. He tells him that all he needs a little push. Looks like Jesus is a shaman in a Sunday hat..
Soon Lafayette and Jesus start trippin. Everything gets real bright and even the various statues of the Virgin Mary start dancing and waving. It’s weird. Next they start time traveling and we find out more about Jesus’s past. His grandmother was a healer of sorts and he was raised in a very magic friendly environment. Then we meet Jesus’s grandfather, who was not a very nice guy. He practiced black magic and was pretty evil. Oh and also Lafayette’s great-great grandmother knew spells as well and passed it down to his grandmother and his mother. Man this episode is full of magic.

Sam: This episode we get some great Sam flashbacks. It turns out that back in 2003 Sam was a jewel thief who used his shifting to raise money for his bar/lover. Well it turns out she was conning him and was scheming with another guy who steals all of Sam’s money. This new badass 2003 Sam doesn’t take this very well and uses his shifting to steal the gun and kills her/the guy. And that was how Merlottes was born!

Back in real time Sam is at the bar and seems upset. Everyone is acting on edge after the beating. Holly, the new weird waitress comes up and offers him some testosterone pills and reveals that she is a wiccan and this is how she rolls. Sam doesn’t like this and tells her the 2 rules of Merlottes: No dancing and no religion.

Arlene: Arlene finally woman’s up and tells Terry that the baby isn’t his, but is the serial killer Rene’s. And it’s gonna be evil. Terry doesn’t seem to care and tells her that he wants to raise it and prove that it won’t be evil/love it lots. D’awww.

Later, Arlene approaches Holly the wiccan and asks her if she knows any ways that she can get un-pregnant. Magic perhaps?

Tommy/Jessica/Hoyt: Arlene and Pam and Tommy are left to clean up the bloody Calvin mess at Merlottes. On the news we hear about the whole Russell-killing-a-newscaster issue and Arlene makes another one of her anti-vampire comments. Jessica uses her powers to force her to stop being so narrow-minded. Tommy sees this and tries to flirt with her, but she rebuffs him. He be flirtin.

Next we see lil’ Summer and Hoyt in his car. It would appear that Hoyt is still trying to break up with her but all Summer can do is to offer sex to fix their relationship.

Unfortunately for Summer this doesn’t really work out and Hoyt ends up coming into Merlottes and confesses his love to Jessica. He tells her he broke up with Summer and doesn’t care that she’s a vampire; he still wants to be with her, he loves her. Tell me you don’t love me. She hesitates and he leaves upset. As he leaves Tommy tries to zing him with a pithy one liner and Hoyt responds by punching him in the face. Way to go Hoyt! Punches Tommy turns into a pitbull and tries to maul Hoyt, but Jessica comes in the nick of time and saves him, choosing him and his love. He then reluctantly drinks her blood to cure his mauled broken wrist.

Eric and Pam: Early in the episode we see Eric writing up a will to leave everything to Pam in the very likely case that Russell kill him. Russell is oldest/strongest vampire in the entire world and now has his focus on killing Eric.

Speaking of Russell we see the great King pick up a local prostitute, who he creepily keeps refering to as Talbot. Russell even acts out a little "last conversation" with not-Talbot, finishing it off by staking the human prostitute to death. Looks like Russell is ready to start his assault. This doesn't look good for Eric. Or Sookie...
