Mattv with this weeks recap. I think I'm going to try a new format where I just say what happened to each character in the episode. I hope it will read easier/is easier to write.

Eric: This week is not that good for Eric. Last week we saw him stake Talbot, stopping Russell's assault on Sookie's house. Eric starts the episode by flying to Fangtasia and telling Pam/dancer Ginger that they need to get out of town and to a safe house. Unfortunately for Eric he is interrupted by Nan Flanagan and a whole SWAT team of silver packing cronies. Eric tries to leave but Nan orders him to be immediately silvered as dancer Ginger looks on and screams. After recovering from his silvering Nan sets up some fancy cameras that are pointed at Eric and tells him that he is going to talk to her and the Authority, via video cameras, regarding the missing of the magister. The vampire amendments act is only 2 states away from ratification and the Authority needs to have everything sorted out before they continue the quest for votes. At first Eric plays coy and says that he knows nothing about the magister's death/missing and that he has no connection to anything wrong that is going on in area 5. After being held captive for a night at Fangtasia and getting worried about what will happen to Pam if he keeps up the lies, he finally admits to the Authority and Nan Flanagan that he was with Russell when he killed the magister and the only reason he hasn't told the authority is because he wants Russell for himself. Nan doesn't buy it, but after talking to the Authority she comes to Eric with their official decision. All of his admissions about Russell and the magister will be wiped from any records and even Nan's meeting with him didn't happen. Eric will be allowed to take out Russell quietly but he wont get any resources from the Authority and Nan wants his fangs in her hands. The only problem is that Russell is 1,000 years older and more powerful than Eric....

Sookie/Bill: Over at Sookie's house Bill and Sookie share another intimate moment in the shower, complete with him taking another lil' chomp in her neck. After the make-up sex the two clean up the house and bury the dead werewolf that is in her living room. Bill goes to rest during the day while Sookie goes to visit her cousin Hadley, but more on that later. While asleep Bill feels a dripping coming from the door and opens it up to find....he is in Sookie's coma dream light world! Bill thinks this is due to Sookie's tasty light blood and while he is there he meets Claudine, the woman Sookie met while she was in her Coma. Claudine at first thinks that he has killed Sookie and is now coming for her, but Bill assures her that he only wants to know what Sookie is so that she knows how to protect herself. Claudine tells him that "They" will protect her but is incredibly vague as to who "they" are. All of the sudden Bill has a vampire moment and tries to drink Claudine's light hand blood, but she zaps him away with her light hands. Before he leaves he asks Claudine the question of the hour, who/what are you people? Back in the real world Sookie meets up with Hadley at the local aquarium. It turns out that she has a son and his name is Hunter. More importantly she wants Sookie to test and see if he also has the Stackhouse telepathy. It turns out that Sookie's great grandfather had a six sense and it has run in their family for a long time. Well unfortunately Hunter is a telepath and this makes Hadley hysterical and takes away Hunter, crying.

Sam: Sam is working at the ole' bar when he gets a call from Terry and the pregnant, but not with his baby, Arlene. Turns out Tommy is having some loud sex at Sam's living space and this makes Sam very upset. When Sam comes over he sees a topless lady and a bottomless Tommy. Man do shapeshifters even own pants! Sam tries to yell at him but Tommy just keeps hammering in on the fact that he is basically a pansy. This doesn't make Sam very happy and will most likely lead to him to trying to prove himself to Tommy. Over at Merlottes Hoyt is again eating with Summer, who now it seems has brought her creepy doll collection with her. She gets catty with Jessica, but when she goes to the bathroom Hoyt breaks down and says he hates her, but he can't be with Jessica. This of course makes Jessica cry and gives Tommy another chance to try and get with her. A little while later Crystal's father Calvin comes back into the bar, looking for the daughter that has disowned his still-unidentified kind. Sam tries to tell him to leave but Calvin just calls him a pussy, which makes Sam go CRAZY. He not only breaks a glass pitcher over his head, he also beats him until he is minutes away from death. Tommy looks on in glee as everyone else looks on in terror.

Tara: Still messed up from Franklin, Tara is continuing to have a very rough time around other people. She eventually breaks down and goes to a rape support group to find comfort from fellow survivors. While there she meets the new waitress at Merlottes, Holly, who we learn is also a victim of a pretty terrifying rape. The two bond and it looks like Tara is actually making some progress. This all changes however, when Sam beats up Calvin at the bar and he is rushed away to the hospital by Lafayette and Jesus. She is confronted by Franklin, who it turns out is still very much alive. Franklin taunts her, but she eventually tells him to go ahead and kill her because at least if she is dead she will be free of him and of his control. He is just about ready to oblige her when Jason shows up and tells him to back up with his shotgun. Franklin laughs at him but stops when Jason shoots him and he turns into a pile of mush. Jason uses wooden bullets, vampires beware. New Tara-Jason romance?

Jason/Crystal: Back at the casa de Jason, Jason comes out of shower and finds Felton standing over Crystal. Crystal yells out that he tried to rape her/he was the one who hit her and a fight begins. Felton gains the upper hand when he pins Jason against a wall, choking him, but loses it when Crystal knocks him out with the butt of Jason's gun. The two tie him up and leave him tied to a tree with a bag of V so that the police can come and pick him up. The joy of outsmarting Crystal's father and ex-fiance ends when they go to the police office and find out that a deputy was killed by some people in Hotshot and that Andy thinks Felton is the leader of the V ring. We know this isn't true but we do know that the people of Hotshot are not as nice as they seem, especially Crystal. We also see that Andy is keeping viles of V in his desk. But is he using them? Crystal tells Jason that she knows who is behind the killing but she wont rat them out because it was likely some younger kids from Hotshot and she doesn't want them to get chewed up by the system. While arguing about this Calvin comes into Merlottes and yells at Crystal/tries to fight Jason. Sam stops this but Crystal still chooses to ride with Jesus and Lafayette to the hospital with her dad, even though he has put her through so much/ is a terrible person. This makes Jason very sad.

Lafayette/Jesus: Over at Lafayette's place Lafayette and Jesus finally consummate their relationship. After the sex we see Jesus in a lil' silk robe and see that he has a pretty fierce looking panther tattooed on his chest. Is Jesus secretly a bad guy? After they have sex Jesus supervises a visit between Lafayette and his crazy mother Ruby-Jean. Shock of the century, she says more crazy things. The two decide to go to Merlottes to relax, but unfortunately come right at the time that Felton is giving a beating of a lifetime courtesy of Sam. Jesus tells them that he is a nurse and drives Lafayette, Calvin, and Crystal to the hospital. Things don't look good for Calvin though...

Arlene/Holly: Holly continues to be strange/ bond with Arlene when she asks Arlene about her baby and she readily admits to her that it isn't Terry's baby and she isn't even sure she wants it. Holly asks her if she would consider an abortion and seems strangely interested in her unborn child. Spoookyyy!

Russell: Over at Russell's palace we see him sobbing over the goop that once was Talbot. As Russell collects all of the goop into an ern he notices that the viking crown is gone and realizes that Eric is the one behind Talbot's murder. Ut oh. Next we see Russell standing on top of Fangtasia with the ern, vowing revenge on The Authority and on Eric Northman. It looks like he might be surrounded by Authority SWAT but he calmly flies away to parts unknown....or so it appears! Yes, Russell steals the whole episode with his final scene. We see Nan driving in Oregon watching the news, when all of the sudden the anchor looks scared and Russell walks onto camera, ripping out his spine and killing him on live TV. Russell commands the camera man to keep the camera on and announces to everyone, vampire and human, that vampires don't deserve equal rights because they are better than people and instead should be in control. They crave human blood and he promises that deep inside every vampire is a monster who will gladly eat you and then eat your children. With that chilling note he sends it off to Tiffany with the 5 day forecast...
