MattV! here with the weekly True Blood recap. Last episode it seemed like Sookie was in a great lot of danger as Bill lay dying on the floor. How would she get out!

The episode starts almost exactly where it left off with a angry Lorena feeding on Sookie. From the looks of it she isn't killing Sookie only hurting her and may be taking her sweet time, especially after she remarks how delicious her blood is. Right then Bill breaks from his chains, holds down Lorena and tells Sookie to grab the piece of wood next to her to stake Lorena with. Finally! At first Sookie is worried that she will also hit Bill but when Lorena makes the remark that even in death she will be closer to him than Sookie could ever be, Sookie gets a lil' upset and stakes her right through the chest, just missing Bill. Lorena turns into a big pile of blood and vampire goop and Sookie checks that Bill is still alive.

Just in the nick of time Alcide and Tara drive up in his van and come to rescue Sookie. Sookie tells them that Bill is dying and they need to get him out of here before it is too late. They wrap him up in the carpet so he looks like a little vampire burrito but unfortunately for the gang it is too late, as Debbie shows up just then and points a little six shooter right at them. You better believe Debbie is hungry for some V and would love nothing more than to suck on that Bill Burrito (her words not mine. Seriously) Alcide tries to calm her down and Sookie reads her mind and tells Debbie that she knows that she is scared and wont pull the trigger. Admittedly this make Debbie mad and want to shoot her but Alcide gets her attention. He tells her that he is willing to forgive her and wants to be with her. She buys it for a second and then reminds him that he refused to have a child with her because he didn't want to continue the werewolf lineage. During this revelatory fight Tara communicates with Sookie via mind and tells her that she needs her to distract Debbie so she can take the gun from her. She is not going to die here, not after everything she has been through the past couple of days. Sookie lets out a loud scream and while she is distracted Tara tackles her and Alcide takes the gun. Looks like the tables have finally turned...

The scene then shifts to Sam who is driving down a rural road in search of the dog fighting ring where Tommy is being forced to fight. Sam asks the hillbilly looking man if he knows where he can get on some dog fighting and the man denies that any sort of activity is going on and tells him to leave. When Sam goes to get some money the man gets very angry and points his shotgun at his face. It seems he can spot someone who doesn't belong in these parts and orders Sam to give him his gun and drive away, never coming back. Sam obliges him but now knows what he wanted to know, that the dog fighting is happening somewhere close. We see Sam drive off to a wooded area, take off all of his clothes, and turn into a pitt-bull that looks very similar to Tommy's pitt-bull. It seems that Sam's plan to rescue Tommy is one that requires a bit of trickery and succeeds in being "captured" by hicks and taken to the dog cages. Once at the dog cages Sam turns back and delivers a nice knock-out to the hick, hides him in a corner, and releases all of the caged up dogs/shapeshifters. Unfortunately Tommy is not in any of the cages, which can only mean he is fighting....

Over at the Casa de Jason we see a shirtless Jason still heartbroken over Crystal's revelation that she has a finance and doesn't want to see him anymore. It would appear that Crystal really made a connection with Jason and he is willing to do whatever it takes to get her back. He asks his roommate Hoyt for some advice and Hoyt tells him that he should just go to the jail and talk to the guy from Hotshot that Jason tackled a couple of weeks ago. Crystal is from Hotshot and he probably knows what her deal is. Just as Hoyt is about to leave Summer, the little tiny Blondie haired girl that Hoyt took out last episode, walks in and makes her stand. Literally. She has brought him a boatload of her home made biscuits in an effort to show her what a good girlfriend she can be. Ut oh, looks like Hoyt should have just stuck with Jessica instead. Jason truly puts the final nail in Hoyt's grave when he walks in on them, tries one of her biscuits, loves it, and tells Hoyt that she will make a great grandmother/ is a keeper. Ho boy.

The next scene takes place at the queen's palace where we see that she has been imprisoned by Russell and Eric until she accepts his marriage proposal. It is pretty fitting that she is kept in a big bird cage as she is as annoying as a canary, but I guess even she doesn't deserve to be treated this way by the evil Hitler-like Russell. Eric walks in with Sookie's cousin and the queen's lover(?), Hadley, and tells her that if she doesn't tell him what makes Sookie Stackhouse so unique and special he will drain her lover to death. At first the queen doesn't comply but when Eric really starts sucking Hadley asks him to stop and reveals that the queen has told her and she will tell him if he just stops killing her. He agrees and she whispers it to her, but we don't get to hear it. Obviously it is a big deal though because Eric says, "That is not what I was expecting". What does it mean? Double Rainbow joke, comin' at ya!

Back at the Slave quarters Alcide has Debbie at gun point and orders Tara and Sookie to get Burrito Bill into the van. Just before they can Cooter comes in and Alcide shoots him before he can attack. Cooter looks like he is about to change when he has been shot and Alcide shoots him in the head, killing him. Wow 2 deaths already in one episode! Alcide tries to tell Debbie that he had no choice but she doesn't believe him and tells him that he better kill her now, because if he doesn't she will come and get him and extract her revenge. Alcide just locks her in the cabin and gets into the truck, as more Werewolves are about to come and try and stop them. Sookie tells Tara that she will stay in the back with Bill and they drive away just as a pack of Cooter's wolves start to chase them. Alcide uses some quick maneuvering and hits one of them with the van, killing him, which stops them from chasing him. Man Alcide really doesn't like these operation Werewolf guys. While driving away Sookie tries to wake Bill up, but with no luck. She finally reaches the end of her rope and cuts her arm, giving her blood to Bill, which she knows will revive him. Unfortunately Bill's instincts take a hold of him and he begins to ravenge her, almost killing her. Alcide and Tara can't hear a thing from the front of the van until Sookie lets out a scream and they stop at the side of the road. A still V-fueled Tara kicks Bill out of the car and into the sunlight as they drive off. Miraculously though, Bill only slightly burns in the sunlight. What is up with Sookie and her blood? Sun-Bill chases them as they drive off...

Back at the dog ring the Guard wakes up and rings the alarm, alerting everyone to leave the dog fighting because someone has intruded. Sam wades through a pool of spectators to see pitt-bull Tommy fighting another pitt-bull under the guidance of Joe Lee and Melinda. Sam steps in the ring and makes the non Tommy pitt-bull; who it turns out is just a regular pitt-bull and not a shapeshifter, which makes it even more f'd up, run away from the ring. A slightly bloody Tommy turns back and Sam orders Joe Lee to give him his clothes. He then tells the two of them they are awful parents and offers Tommy his place to stay. He can't promise that it will be great, but he can promise it will be better than where he is now. Tommy agrees and the two walk off, Melinda swearing at Joe Lee in the background.

Over at the police station Jason goes into the holding cells and finds out that the Hotshot meth head that he tackled is Crystal's cousin. He pleads with him to give him information on Crystal or at least on her fiancee but he says he will only if Jason can score him some Meth. Jason being Jason decides to go to Merlottes and asks Lafayette if he can sell him some Meth for the prisoner. The funny conversation is broken up by a call from Tara....

Tara, Alcide, and a flat-lining Sookie are all in the hospital as Sookie is being rushed into emergency surgery. It seems that Bill drank a lot of her blood and she might not make it unless she gets a transfusion. Another wrench is thrown when it is discovered that Sookie doesn't even have a blood type and therefore can't receive a transfusion. The doctors put her in a drug induced coma and tell Tara and Alcide to inform the next of kin, who happens to be Jason..

Jason is at Merlottes gets call that Sookie is in the hospital and rushes out with Lafayette to go and see her. When they get there they are met by a very pushy hospital worker who wants to know if Jason wants to pull the plug on her, which the very emotional Jason can't handle right now. Luckily Lafayette threatens to bitch smack her if she doesn't leave and that does the trick. Tara asks Jason if he was aware that Sookie had no blood type and he said that he didn't. He is AB negative but Sookie has never gotten sick enough to warrant going to a hospital so he never really knew what her blood type was either. As the three of them look at the comatose Sookie we flash into Sookie's mind where she wakes up in her hospital bed surrounded by a golden glow. Everything is very warm and light and as she leaves the room she sees a ton of naked/dressed women and men frolicking about near a giant golden pond. Sookie isn't confused or scared, simply joyful and is greeted by a woman named Claudine who knows Sookie very well even though she doesn't know her. Anyone who has read the book knows the significance of this character but I won't spoil it for anyone who hasn't. The two of them frolic about in dream(?) world and drink from the glowing pond which Claudine tells Sookie is much larger than it appears and is a portal to where "they" are from. Who are "they"?

Back in the real world we see the Magister has Pam chained to a table and is continuing to torture her. He tells her that he feels a little bad about how he has treated her and wants to make it up to her with a gift. He tells her he had one of his men buy some Tiffany earrings for her and would very much like to pierce her eyes with them, since she already has her ears pieced. Gross. Luckily this weird sadism by the Magister ends when Eric rushes into the room with the queen Sophie-Ann and Russell. He informs the Magister that the queen was behind the selling of V and that he is now loyal to King Russell, who offers to marry the queen and take over her area in exchange for a forgiveness of all of her debts. The Magister tells them that what they have just admitted is treason and against the code of the Vampire Authority. The mentioning of The Authority makes Russell very mad and he denounces them as his leaders, saying that he hates how they let humans walks all over them. He then uses his 3000-year-old super speed and replaces Pam with the Magister on the torture table and says he will torture him until he officially recognizes he and the queen's Marriage...

Back at the hospital Bill rushes in with super speed and Tara is very mad at him. He pleads with them and tells them the only way to get her out of the coma is to do a transfusion with his blood, which is super strong. Jason agrees against Tara's pleas and tells her that he is in charge of Sookie and it is his choice, he chooses using Bill's blood. Back in glow-world Sookie continues to prance around and even telepathically communicates with Claudine, who is also a telepath, until Claudine suddenly stops and tells everyone that "the darkness" is approaching and it is time to go back to where they came from. All of the glow people hop into the water and zap back to wherever they came from and Claudine tells Sookie she should come with her because Bill is evil and will hurt her. Sookie disagrees and tells her she can't leave with her because she just met her, but still wants to know how to contact them. Claudine says she can't stay to tell her but before she does she tells her that the water (the flash floods that killed her parents) didn't kill her parents like she was told it did, something else did. with that she disappears and the glow world becomes dark and Sookie collapses, waking up back in the real world. The V transfusion worked! Unfortunately as soon as Sookie wakes up she sees Bill standing by her and lets out a scream for bloody murder. Guess the engagement is kind of off for now...

In the last scene of the episode we are back in the basement of Fangtasia where Russell is torturing the Magister in front of the semi-captive audience of Pam, Eric, and Sophie-Ann. Finally the Magister declares them husband and wife and just when it looks like they are going to leave Russell turns back around, takes the Magister's stake-ended cane and decapitates him with it, killing him. Wow so many people died in this episode what could possible happen next! And more importantly what did Hadley tell Eric/who or what is Claudine? Guess we will have to wait until next week to find out...
