Hey everyone, welcome to Big Brother 12, last night’s episode featured the finish to the HoH Competition, America’s Choice and the Nominees.
First up, we saw the HoH competition with all the HG’s up on surfboards that moved in and out of a wall and at times, had water dumping over their heads. We also saw they blew air cannons at them and even had a little bit of “snow”. The funniest part of the competition to me was the sarcasm by Matt in saying, “I’m not going anywhere, I can do this all day.” We saw Kathy drop out first, followed by Lane, Kristen dropped out, then Hayden(on purpose, doesn’t want a bigger target on his back), Enzo’s legs gave out on him and then Brendon dropped out. That left Andrew, Ragan and Matt. After a little while, Andrew finally dropped out.
I thought it was amazing at the editing job that BB did on this episode because they showed Ragan trying to negotiate with Matt and it seemed on the episode that Matt wasn’t taking a deal. The reality is, Matt and Ragan came to an understanding that Brendon and Rachel would not go up but if someone used the PoV, one of them would be the replacement nominee. On the show, Ragan looked defeated and he dropped out, reality, he told Matt to hang out a bit to “make it look good”. Matt is the new HoH for the week while Enzo, Brendon, Andrew and Ragan are Have Nots for the week.
The have-nots really have it rough. They have to take cold showers(I would just not shower for the week), have to sleep in a smelly bedroom and have to eat slop and at the mercy of America’s Choice. This week, the Have-Nots were treated to Baby Food and Bok Choy. I read up on Bok Choy and there was some articles saying that if you ate too much of it, it could damage you permanantly and/or even kill you. I’m sure BB had done their homework on this and gave them safe Bok Choy substititute. The baby food made Andrew happy because it was Kosher and Enzo was thrilled to learn that the biscuits were basically Animal Crackers citing his food of choice was Animal Crackers. If you watch the live feeds or Big Brother After Dark on Showtime2, other HG’s were chomping on the baby biscuits. I’ve had them, they are good.
Britney is working with Enzo on his Jersey dialect and trying to help pronounce things clearly and “normally”, however, Enzo hit the nail of the head when he quoted, “ Britney, the beverly hillbilly is trying to teach the ‘meow-meow’ how to talk.” Seriously, Enzo, the ‘meow-meow’? You sound very unintelligent every time you say that. Matt got his new HoH room and I was interested to see what Matt’s wife looked like, however, the picture they showed, you could barely see her. Disappointed, for sure but her letter to Matt inadvertingly helped Matt’s story about his wife having a disease. Even the good Doctor(shhhhh!) Andrew said he would never doubt that again. HA! The Brigade meets with Matt and says it’s clear that he should just put up Brendon and Rachel, one of them goes home, break up the alliance, etc, etc and as Enzo says, “That’s it”.
However, Matt has different plans and he knows there are 2 people in the house who are coming after him, Andrew and Kathy. Matt talks to Andrew and tells him he’s going up but as a Pawn and his target is Kathy. I will be curious to see the Brigades reactions when these nominations are announced, were they told or would it be a shock? Next, we see Mr. C-Block himself, Andrew walking in and out of everyone Brendon and Rachel are trying to make out. Morning, Noon and Night, this guy apparently disrupts their make-out sessions quite a bit. So much so, it made the show and now Andrew MUST be the most creeped out guy in the house. Remember, he’s also overheard Hayden and Kristen making out too. Speaking of which, the Brigade question if Hayden and Kristen are related because “they kind of look alike and have a birthmark in the same spot”. Matt says they should just hook up, all the while, Hayden and Kristen are downstairs making out. In reality, these two things probably weren’t happening at the same time but the nice editing job makes it seem so.
Finally, we have the Nomination ceremony, we saw Brendon and Rachel make a deal with Matt and they won’t put him up next week. Matt did say to Ragan he would back-door one of them if Kathy or Andrew come down off the block. Matt decided to go with his plan and put up Kathy and Andrew for eviction this week, much to the surprise to the Brigade. Matt quickly explains that he knows they are both coming after him personally and it makes more sense for him to get one of those threats out immediately. Andrew was none to thrilled with that new and has vowed revenge against Matt, Kathy said she was going to fight and the game is ON in the Big Brother House.
