Day 14: As I type, there is 11 minutes left before I close the polls, and where usually I am safe to assume the winner as it is hundreds of votes ahead, today I can't for the Scrubs vs. Desperate Housewives battle as there is 12 votes in it (to Desperate Housewives atm), however we can safely say that Grey's Anatomy is sailing through to Round 3 after seeing off a disappointing second round tie with Deadwood, which lost around 1000 votes from it's First round victory over House. It was a low voting day, people perhaps less interested en-masse for any of the shows on offer. I will type in 8 minutes now here the results of the Scrubs/Desperate Housewives battle: Desperate Housewives clung on by a mere 10 votes, the gap didn't close fast enough! Goodbye Scrubs.
Today we have some of the Contests Big Guns in action once again, as we see Doctor Who, the British sole remaining entry in the competition fighting it out against The OC. It's first round showing against Long-Lasting ER shows it has the potential, but it probably needs to find more die-hard fans out there to really battle some of the big guns. Also today we have pre-tournament favourite LOST versus the very popular sitcom Seinfeld. LOST was given a half a day thrashing by The West Wing, but totally turned it around in the final 10 hours or so to win with the current second highest most votes for one show in one round (behind Fringe's 3893 mega score earlier in Round 2) Can it smash this and reclaim it's place as favourite. Only time will tell. Let the battles Commence!!

The OC vs. Doctor Who
The OC

Seasons: 4 (Finished)
Format: Teen Drama
Synopsis: The show centers on Ryan Atwood, a troubled teenager from a broken home who is adopted by the wealthy and philanthropic Sandy and Kirsten Cohen. Ryan and his surrogate brother Seth, a socially awkward and, initially, friendless teen, deal with life as outsiders in the wild high-class world of Newport Beach, Orange County, California. This includes their often troubled and always dramatic relationships with Summer Roberts, Marissa Cooper, Alex Kelly, Lindsay Gardner, Taylor Townsend, and others.
Fan Review: None Submitted

Doctor Who

Seasons: 5 (Since 2005 - Ongoing)
Format: Science Fiction Drama
Synopsis: The programme depicts the adventures of a mysterious and eccentric humanoid alien known as the Doctor who travels through time and space in his spacecraft, the TARDIS (an acronym for Time And Relative Dimension In Space), which normally appears from the exterior to be a blue 1950s British police box. With his companions, he explores time and space, faces a variety of foes and rights wrongs.
Fan Review: Cedar Kokus
The one thing that you don’t watch ‘Doctor Who’ for is the special effects. The special effects and usually the basic designs of the aliens are quite frankly, lame. What I watch ‘Doctor Who’ for are the amusing, very slightly campy stories that reflect human nature and emotions. I end up feeling just as much emotional attachment to minor characters that only appear in one episode as I do for the Doctor and his companion. I love how the Doctor can be goofy, inquisitive and authoritative almost simultaneously. The Regenerations that allow the Doctor to cheat death are not only a clever way to extend the show but a way to emphasize the Doctors complex and changing personality, from Dr. Nine’s (the ninth generation of the Doctor) battle-scarred soldier to Dr. Ten’s manic, no-second-chances persona, to Dr. Eleven being adorably old fashioned, absented minded and prone to temper-tantrums; they are all the doctor and I love them all. ‘Doctor Who’ is complex enough for adults to watch but interesting enough for kids, with a minimal amount of adult humour and situations to enjoy too. Doctor Who’s intended audience is children and families so sometimes there is juvenile humour that, while not distracting from the storylines, can seem out of place if you are not aware that children as young as seven watch it. But ‘Doctor Who’ is able to balance such diverse subjects as the title character’s guilt at having to destroy his home planet to save the universe, to farting aliens that explode when vinegar is thrown on them without ever alienating any of the audience. Well, almost never.

Thanks once again for voting and taking part in the Competition. Hope your doing well, and that your favourite shows are getting through. Comment away and lets see who grinds through today.
