The Good Guys - Shouldn't you be Watching? by A.D.Harris

This isn't a standard review, as to review such a show would be a pointless exercise. It isn't anything that leaves you thinking afterwards, it isn't anything that I am likely to debate, to think about in depth with friends, family or even myself.
So what is?
The answer is the reason why I want more people to give 'The Good Guys' a go. Because, after years of thinking about "What that dang Island is" and "When is that dang Doctor gonna go back to the Vicodin" or when those "dang and blasted Terrorists are gonna learn to not plan a Terrorist attack in the same city as Kiefer Sutherland" I've found something so different, so fresh that it blows my socks off. It's stupid, it's over the top, it's big, it's silly, but most importantly, It was funny. Very Funny.
The pilot took me a while to get warmed up. Its constant rewinding and fast forwarding scenes and gunshot noises at first were a little bizarre, but as the second episode set in, it all started to work. And it's total genius. I turned off for 44 minutes and let the ever-fantastic Bradley Whitford just let loose on the screen with a totally brilliant character in washed up cop, Dan Stark.
The Good Guys isn't like any other cop show I've seen. The most likely show I could think of it being like is Scrubs, and personally I wasn't a huge fan of that show, yet this just had me laughing at it's ridiculousness, and I found myself having a whole lot of fun.
I watched both episodes together, and I was dying for more, and now have to wait till next monday to get the next dose, and disappointingly, it's not started that strongly in the ratings, so we need to start getting people watching it, because before people realise what theyre missing, it will be gone.
What better way to spend you're monday nights than watching two cops uncover a Drug Conspiracy involving the 1st and 2nd best assassins (LOST's Mikhael), followed the week after by a Vintage Car Grand Theft Auto uncovered by a broken window.
You can't make this shit up :P

So what I'm saying is watch, give it a chance. Because it's genius. But not in a LOST detailed canvas kind of way. In a Big Moustache kind of way.
