As many have expected Chris Wood is officially exiting Supergirl. He will not be a series regular for the upcoming fouth season of the CW. superhero series. It was always planned that Chris would have a two year arc per TVLine and now that it's completed, the producers have bid farewell to the actor and to Mon-El. However there's always the possibility of Chris returning, "We love working with Chris, so we’d love to have Mon-El back someday if the story takes us there and if Chris is available."
“The plan for Chris was always to have him on the show for two years,” executive producer Robert Rovner explains to TVLine. “We’ve loved telling Mon-El’s story, as well as the story we’ve told for him and Kara. We hope the fans felt that it was a satisfying conclusion.”
