Netflix today confirmed that original series NARCOS has been renewed for two more seasons. José Padilha (Elite Squad, RoboCop) and Eric Newman (Children of Men) continue to serve as executive producers of the series.
NARCOS is produced by Gaumont International Television for Netflix. Seasons one and two of NARCOS are available for members to stream instantly in Ultra HD 4k.
"Narcos" is inspired by the true story of Colombia's infamously violent drug cartels and Pablo Escobar's fight to stay the most powerful of them all. The "King of Cocaine" soon learns that NARCOS aren't known for their loyalty, and Escobar and his sicarios must battle not only the Colombian and U.S. governments, but the people they once knew as friends. Meanwhile, Search Bloc and the DEA seek to destroy the drug cartels with sometimes dubious tactics, creating personal and ethical dilemmas for agents like Steve Murphy and Javier Peña, who are tasked with bringing the drug kingpins to justice.
