ABC ANNOUNCES MAY SWEEPS PROGRAMMING AND SERIES FINALE DATES

Highlights Include “The 2016 Billboard Music Awards”

Live From Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22nd and the Season Premiere of “The Bachelorette” on Monday, May 23rd

The ABC Television Network announces upcoming May sweeps programming, featuring season finale dates for “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “black-ish,” “Castle,” “The Catch,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “The Family,” “Fresh Off the Boat,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Goldbergs,” “The Middle,” “Modern Family,” “Nashville,” “The Real O’Neals,” “Scandal,” “Shark Tank“ and “Quantico.”

In addition, “The 2016 Billboard Music Awards” will take place live from Las Vegas on Sunday, May 22nd, and “The Bachelorette” makes its season premiere on Monday, May 23rd.

Other highlights include special two-hour finales of “The Catch,” “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Once Upon a Time” and programming highlights for “The Chew,” “General Hospital” and “Jimmy Kimmel Live.”

THURSDAY, APRIL 28:

8:00-9:00 p.m. GREY’S ANATOMY – “You’re Gonna Need Someone on Your Side” – Stephanie struggles with boundaries while Callie and Arizona ask their friends for support during a difficult situation.

9:00-10:00 p.m. SCANDAL – “Buckle Up” – As Mellie, Susan and Hollis prepare to meet with Florida’s governor and vie for her influential endorsement, a spin war between Abby and Olivia threatens to keep their candidates grounded. Meanwhile, Cyrus is faced with a decision that could dramatically alter his future.Guest stars include Artemis Pebdani as Susan Ross and Gregg Henry as Hollis Doyle.

FRIDAY, APRIL 29:

9:00-10:01 p.m. SHARK TANK – “Episode 724” – It’s a battle of the billionaires when

two Sharks fight over an entrepreneur’s all-in-one solution to early

education. Silicon Valley billionaire Chris Sacca returns as a guest

Shark.

SUNDAY, MAY 1:

8:00-9:00 p.m. ONCE UPON A TIME – “Firebird” – Greg Germann guest stars as Hades.

9:00-10:00 p.m. THE FAMILY – “Fun Ways to Tell Boyfriend You’re Pregnant” – Bridey betrays Willa in an effort to get the “front page” while Hank believes he has key evidence to solve Adam’s case and, more importantly, make himself a hero; Willa makes a shocking discovery about what really happened to Adam.

10:00-11:00 p.m. QUANTICO – “Drive” – With only a few weeks until graduation, the NATS are dispatched to various field offices where Alex and Ryan find themselves working a case together. Meanwhile, in the future, Shelby and Caleb’s relationship takes a turn, and Alex doesn’t know who to trust when she discovers new information about the man she loves.

TUESDAY, MAY 3:

9:00-10:00 p.m. MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “Failed Experiments” – Loyalties are tested and the S.H.I.E.L.D. team must seek a decisive resolution to the looming Hive threat.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 4:

BACK-TO-BACK THEMED COMEDIES IN HONOR OF MOTHER’S DAY

8:00-8:30 p.m. THE MIDDLE – “Not Mother’s Day” – Frankie informs the family that they can take a pass on Mother’s Day.

8:30-9:00 p.m. THE GOLDBERGS — “Smother’s Day” — Beverly is upset when she receives last-minute “mom coupons” for Mother’s Day. Judd Hirsch returns as Pop Pop (Murray’s dad).

10:00-11:00 p.m. NASHVILLE – “The Trouble with the Truth” – Rayna and Deacon fight to regain the trust of a determined Maddie as she seeks independence, but their efforts are undermined by someone they thought was an ally. Scarlett and Gunnar disagree on the history of their musical partnership during a press interview. Luke tries to do the right thing for an artist he admires, but it ends up backfiring. Country-music star Kelsea Ballerini performs “Peter Pan” in a guest appearance as herself, and “Extra” hosts Mario Lopez and Charissa Thompson guest star as themselves.

THURSDAY, MAY 5:

8:00-9:00 p.m. GREY’S ANATOMY – “Mama Tried” – Alex and April help a pregnant teen through a medical crisis, and Callie and Arizona disagree about what’s best for Sofia.

FRIDAY, MAY 6:

9:00-10:01 p.m. SHARK TANK – “Episode 729” – A hairstylist demonstrates her hair

products by trimming her own hair in front of the Sharks. Will the Sharks make a tasty deal with a baker’s healthy frosting creations?

SUNDAY, MAY 8:

7:00-8:00 p.m. AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS – Nine finalists compete for a $100,000 prize.

8:00-9:00 p.m. ONCE UPON A TIME – “Last Rites” – Greg Germann guest stars as Hades.

9:00-10:00 p.m. THE FAMILY – “Election Day” – Willa reveals another terrible secret to Claire just as the election results are in while the clock is ticking for Nina to finally get her man.

TUESDAY, MAY 10:

8:30-9:00 p.m. THE REAL O’NEALS – “The Real Other Woman” – When Eileen pushes Kenny to get a job, she starts to feel jealous when he starts to work as a tutor and instantly starts to bond with the student’s mom. Meanwhile, Pat wants to bond more with the kids but makes some questionable choices in trying to become the fun parent. Tim Gunn guest stars as himself.

9:00-10:00 p.m. MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “Emancipation” – In the aftermath of the events of Captain America: Civil War, S.H.I.E.L.D. feels pressure to reveal their involvement with Inhumans. But with the stakes higher than ever and Hive growing stronger, the team is tested in ways they could never anticipate.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 11:

9:00-9:31 p.m. MODERN FAMILY – “Crazy Train” – Shelley Long (“Cheers”) and Simon Templeman (“The Neighbors”) guest star. Dede is getting remarried, and Manny convinces the family to take the train up to the wedding.

10:00-11:00 p.m. NASHVILLE – “After You’ve Gone” – Rayna makes a last-ditch effort to protect her oldest daughter from the perils that befall young artists. Juliette reunites with her “Shenandoah Girl” co-star Noah West (Derek Hough) on the Oscar campaign trail, where she meets Kesha, who guest stars as herself. Elsewhere, Scarlett grows wary of Gunnar’s budding friendship with Autumn Chase (Alicia Witt), Layla fears falling into obscurity before her career even takes off, and Will suffers a devastating loss.

9:00-10:00 p.m. THE FAMILY – “What Took so Long” – Season Finale – Claire finally faces some major truths which lead to drastic actions. Time is running out for Nina, Hank has another fight on his hands and one phone call changes everything.

10:00-11:00 p.m. QUANTICO – Season Finale – It’s graduation day for the NATS of Quantico, while in the future, Alex and her team find themselves head-to-head with the terrorist.

8:00-8:30 p.m. FRESH OFF THE BOAT – “The Manchurian Dinner Date” – (directed by Nahnatchka Khan) – Emery enlists Louis to help him write his graduation speech, and Eddie’s girlfriend goes to extreme lengths to impress Jessica.

8:30-9:00 p.m. THE REAL O’NEALS – “The Real Rules” – After realizing Pat left his police badge at home, Jimmy convinces Kenny and Shannon that he should use Pat’s badge to pretend he’s a police officer so they can receive free perks.

9:00-11:00 p.m. MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – Two-hour Season Finale – It’s a showdown a season in the making as S.H.I.E.L.D. takes on Hive. With Hive’s master plan finally revealed, the team must spring into action. Who will live and who will die?

WEDNESDAY, MAY 18:

8:00-8:30 p.m. THE MIDDLE – “The Show Must Go On” – Season Finale – Brick’s song is cut from his middle school graduation ceremony, and Frankie goes on a mission to have it reinstated. Meanwhile, Sue has a conflict with her summer job at Dollywood, and Axl is a country club counselor.

8:30-9:00 p.m. THE GOLDBERGS – “Have a Summer” – Season Finale – Adam and his friends are stressing out about Hell Week, where the incoming Freshmen are hazed by the Seniors. Adam gains the respect of the seniors at school when he body slams Barry. Meanwhile, Erica and her friends discuss what they are going to put in their school time capsule.

9:00-9:31 p.m. MODERN FAMILY – “Double Click” – Season Finale – Claire can’t seem to find the right time to fire one of her employees, while back at home Phil thinks he caught Luke with a girl in his bed, and no one seems to notice that Alex has moved back home for the summer. Jay refuses to accept that it might be harder to reenter the workforce than he thought, and Cameron and Mitch butt heads on how to share time with Lily now that Cameron took a summer job in Kansas City.

9:31-10:00 p.m. BLACK-ISH – “Good-ish Times” – Season Finale – Dre dreams himself into an episode of the classic series from the 1970s with his whole family filling the roles of that classic sitcom.

10:00-11:00 p.m. NASHVILLE – “It’s Sure Gonna Hurt” – After nearly two decades, Rayna and Deacon face the facts of their storied and often tempestuous relationship. Scarlett makes a startling self-discovery in between tour dates while Gunnar performs with one of his idols, rock-music legend Sir Elton John, who guest stars as himself. Luke stops by “The View” to trumpet a worthy cause—before a family emergency pulls his focus. Elsewhere, Juliette struggles to make a connection, and Layla launches her album at The Bluebird. Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Raven Symoné, and Paula Faris guest star as themselves.

FRIDAY, MAY 20:

9:00-10:01 p.m. SHARK TANK – “Episode 726” – Season Finale – The most heated exchange

in the show’s history when a Shark blows up after an entrepreneur refuses an

offer – for personal reasons! Also, the Sharks might sink their teeth into a deal for a line of healthy treats made just for women; a returning entrepreneur gets a rare second chance to strike a deal; and season seven recaps and updates featuring viewers’ favorite entrepreneurs.

SUNDAY, MAY 22:

7:00-8:00 p.m. AMERICA’S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS – Season Finale – Special guests Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and Donald Duck help Alfonso announce the grand prize winner who will receive a vacation for six to the Walt Disney World® Resort in Florida and the new Shanghai Disney® Resort in China opening in June. Tom Bergeron returns to play “Pick the Real Video” with Alfonso.

9:00-11:00 p.m. THE BACHLORETTE – Season Premiere – Southern sweetheart and fan favorite Jo Jo Fletcher returns to embark on her own journey to find love, starring the 12th edition of ABC’s romance reality hit. Chris Harrison hosts.

TUESDAY, MAY 24:

8:00-8:30 p.m. FRESH OFF THE BOAT – “Bring the Pain” – Season Finale – Louis’ brother comes to visit and has big news to share with the family. Ken Jeong guest stars as Gene.

8:30-9:00 p.m. THE REAL O’NEALS – “The Real Prom” – Season Finale – As the school prom approaches, Kenny tries to think of who the best guy would be to ask as his date. With time running out, Kenny and Jimmy try to come up with the perfect “prom-posal” for the classmates they each have set their sights on.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 25:

paths with a duplicitous figure from her past. Juliette must choose how to publicly reckon with the truth of Jeff Fordham’s death—a decision that directly affects Layla. Scarlett and Gunnar consider parting ways as bandmates, and Will finally decides to do what he should have done long ago—step up as the leader of a cause and a community. ABC News correspondent Deborah Roberts guest stars as herself.
