Oye, Oye, Clone Club, (I can’t believe I’m writing it but) Orphan Black season 3 finale is airing this Saturday on BBC America ! It felt like the season flew in a minute and yet it was such a rich and intense season, without a doubt the best season.
Orphan Black season 3 was a tough challenge for the writers, as they introduced the Castor bomb in the S2 finale, there were great expectations and fears about what was coming. The introduction of the Castor project and the male clones has been one of the best thing in Orphan Black in my opinion. It really gave a new dynamic to the show, everything was changed and yet it still felt the same. It was the perfect way to shake up things while keeping it close to the show mythology and core.
Last week shocking twist, Kendall Malone being the Castor and the Leda original and also Mrs S mother was breathtaking. I didn’t see it coming at all, it totally blew me away.
Since the first season, the identity of the original has been a huge mystery, I never guessed it could be so close to the clone club. That revelation will change Mrs S relationships with the clones, especially Sarah. It’s going to have so much consequences, and “History Yet to Be Written” will mainly deal with them.
Sarah, and her club will work against the clock to get samples from Kendall Malone, without Topside and Castor knowing about it, because they all want it. Here’s a list of what to expect from the season finale :
- Sarah will form an unlikely alliance in order to protect her Leda sisters. It’ll be surprising, especially coming from her, but Sarah will do everything to protect her family. Plus, she will make such a great deal, I forgot she had some real good leverage to play.
- After learning Kendall was Leda original, we all wondered how come she didn’t look like Sarah. Well, it will be explained in “History Yet to Be Written”.
- Rachel will be back for the season finale ! I really missed her last week so I was thrilled to see her back. But as seen in the promo, Rachel will be seen in that large room, who is hiding her there there ?
- There will be a surprising and totally unexpected return ! We haven’t seen that character in a while, and I’ve never thought this character would be back. It’ll be a great surprise.
- One character will demonstrate how great and useful duct tape can be.
- Felix will get into some action. I love it so much when Felix has more to do than say funny and snarky lines (even those lines are the best part of his character). Badass Felix all the way !
- Last time we saw Rudy, he started to show symptoms of his Castor brain sickness. In the season finale, obviously, things won’t get better for him, and that will force Coady and him to take matter into their own hands to get the Castor original back from Sarah and S.
- We will find out what Mark and Gracie had been doing since they were reunited last week and what was their deal with Castor for giving them the book.
- It will be Allison’s big day in “History Yet to Be Written”. The school trustee election will take place and by the end of the day, we will know if Allison beat Marci !
- Detective Art will come back. As always, he’ll there when the sestras need him. Such a great guy Art.
- Ferdinand will visit Delphine at Dyad and he won’t be happy about what happened, all the secrets and lies she kept. Delphine might be in trouble, but as we’ve seen it this season, she has proven to be quite resourceful.
- There will be a very emotional and powerful scene between Sarah, Mrs S and Kendall Malone. There are so many things they need to talk about.
- Beth will be mentioned again.
- There will be a new threat against the sisters. It will be a very serious and dangerous threat, something bigger than they’ve ever fought against. It scares me.
- One character’s life will hang in the balance by the end of the episode. God, I’m already waiting for the S4 premieres !
“History Yet to Be Written” is going to be Orphan Black best season finale. I’m pretty sure you will love it, because it will have everything that we all love about that show. It’s not only a sci-fi show about clones, it’s a story about sisterhood and motherhood, about what family means, and what you are willing to do and how far you can go to protect your family and your loved ones.
You can not miss “History Yet to Be Written”, you will regret it. It will air this Saturday on BBC America. How excited are you about “History Yet to Be Written” ? What do you think is going to happen in the season finale ? Hit the comments !
