29th July 2016 - The Flash to Appear + New TV Spot
Warner Bros’ upcoming DC film Suicide Squad has been given a dash (sorry) of Superheroism with Ezra Miller set to make his second DC Films cameo appearance as The Flash in the supervillains-as-heroes pic that hits theaters August 5.
The news was made public in the least flashy way possible as part of the Suicide Squad press notes from critics screenings the studio has been holding this week. No information about the length of Miller’s appearance or The Flash’s impact on the story has been disclosed and Warner Bros had no comment, but we’re hearing the appearance was shot during the Suicide Squad reshoots last spring. Miller’s take on The Flash debuted in two brief scenes in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which bowed March 25 in North America. One scene showed Miller out of costume as Barry Allen, stopping a robbery in a convenient store; the second occurred in a prophetic dream sequence during which Bruce Wayne is warned that allowing Lois Lane to be killed will result in Superman turning evil (it’s a weird moment to be sure.)

It feels good to be bad…Assemble a team of the world’s most dangerous, incarcerated Super Villains, provide them with the most powerful arsenal at the government’s disposal, and send them off on a mission to defeat an enigmatic, insuperable entity.
U.S. intelligence officer Amanda Waller has determined only a secretly convened group of disparate, despicable individuals with next to nothing to lose will do.
However, once they realize they weren’t picked to succeed but chosen for their patent culpability when they inevitably fail, will the Suicide Squad resolve to die trying, or decide it’s every man for himself?

22nd July 2015 - Trailer Beats Batman v Superman As Most-Watched SDCC Trailer
More people have watched the Suicide Squad trailer than the one for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice since both were made available last week following their big debuts at Comic-Con.
As of Tuesday morning, Suicide Squad has been viewed more than 37.5 million times on YouTube, while Batman v Superman has 35.7 million views.
Suicide Squad’s trailer was posted last Monday after a low-quality version of it from Comic-Con leaked online during that weekend. That film, with Jared Leto, Will Smith, and Margot Robbie, will arrive in theaters Aug. 5, 2016, while Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill’s Batman v Superman comes out a few months before, on March 25.

25th April 2015 - First Look at Jared Leto as The Joker
20th January 2015 - Film Synopsis Revealed
SUICIDE SQUAD
Concentrates on a group of incarcerated supervillains rather than the usual focus on superheroes. The storyline will feature a mix of well-known and unknown villains recruited by the government to accomplish a task deemed too dangerous for superheroes. Lead by Rick Flagg (Gyllenhaal), the group of villains includes Deadshot (Smith), Joker (Leto), and Harley Quinn (Robbie), plus Boomerang (Courtney) and Enchantress (Delevigne). The team is tasked on a mission to prevent 'bio weaponry' from being sold to Lex Luthor by a human trafficking gang. The gang is handing over the Enchantress to Luthor who it is implied wants her for magical abilities. They kidnap her and take her back to the prison where she is kept in an underground area, which has all sorts of genetic freaks imprisoned including a King Shark.

15th January 2015 - Tom Hardy Exits; Jake Gyllenhaal Eyed to Replace
Tom Hardy has dropped out of Suicide Squad, Warner Bros.’s all-star comic book movie being directed by David Ayer.
Hardy was to have played Rick Flagg, the leader of the group that consisted of Batman villains Deadshot (Smith), Joker (Leto), and Harley Quinn (Harley Quinn), plus Boomerang (Courtney) and Enchantress (Delevigne).
Reasons for Hardy’s exit weren’t immediately known although scheduling could be a factor, according to sources. The actor is currently shooting The Revenant, Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu’s frontier drama that also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, and that shoot is now looking to go longer than initially planned.

17th December 2014 - Viola Davis Cast As Amanda Waller
According to sources, the lovely Viola Davis (How To Get Away With Murder) has bagged the role of major DC Comics villain and Prison Warden Amanda Waller in David Ayer's upcoming Suicide Squad. In the comics, Amanda Waller is a former congressional aide and government agent often placed in charge of the Suicide Squad, a semi-secret government-run group of former supervillains working in return for amnesty.
Now, the key here is that the role is hers provided that the filmmakers can work out her TV schedule, which will be no small feat considering how big of a hit How To Get Away With Murder is. If it works out she will be joining Jared Leto as the Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Tom Hardy as Rick Flag, Jai Courtney as Boomerang (or Captain Boomerang), and Cara Delevingne as Enchantress.
Oprah Winfrey and Octavia Spencer were reported earlier as contenders for the role.
