None of them. Only decent couples I've seen on CW are from Nikita.
I mean, where at any point is Oliver and Felicity a good couple? The 'will they-won't they', jealous storylines held down by Diggle being little more than an intermediary between the two telling both that they should be together has completely messed the show up this season.
Great the crazy Olicity shippers have been here. I swear if I get another episode like the premiere with those absolutely awful cringe Olicity scenes I'm so out. That was by far some of the worst scenes I have ever seen on a TV screen. Plus Felicity has become a bit of a um....all rounder. Woman wants a bit of Ollie then a bit of Barry now a bit of Ray Palmer. Seriously? People pick on Laurel for having drug problems when her sister died, her boyfriend died and her mum has the most awful hairstyle ever. I would be on dem drugs too.
Oliver and Felicity are the most refreshing couple in TV, probably because it wasn't the original idea of the producers but the chemistry between them is SO amazing that they must end together no matter what!!
Olicity and Oliver are not even a couple, so I wouldn't consider it!!! Francis and Mary are the best couple IMO. I don't watch all the CW's shows, so I'll go with them.
REALLY big generalization of Oliver & Felicity's storyline this season. The jealousy thing was one episode and it was immediately followed by "I want her to be happy" which counteracts all the bitterness from Oliver's part. Unfortunately, they're at the point of the story where they'll do anything to push back the getting together part. Some enjoy it, some don't but it still doesn't mean they don't deserve first place when you look at their journey as a whole.
to become Green Arrow.. Oliver needs to merge the man and the hero. That is.. his humanity and the weapon that has become in those five years. Felicity is the most important part to get back his humanity. that's why Diggle says of being together..Is telling him to embrace his humanity..

I am not anti-Oliver/Felicity per se but they need to pick whether they are gonna be together or apart and stick with it. Cannot cope with the 'in the middle' stories.

I thought you were talking about the discussion with Diggle when he said seeing her with Palmer bothers him, sorry. I doubt the last scene was jealousy though. He made up his mind by the end when he went to talk to her and he realized he was too late. That's on him. More frustration than jealousy. If that didn't anger him then he didn't really care. He can't blame her for moving on since he's the one who ended it in the first place. Anyways, I think the writers know they'll put them together eventually but the characters don't know it yet so it's kind of infuriating sometimes, I get it. Also, you're watching CW... That says it all I think.
seriously dude!! olicity fanbase is one of the strongest in cw. that fan base is a well oiled machine. they literally managed to overthrow the comic canon couple.
I voted Barry/Iris, even though they're not together yet. Finally a show that gets super hero romances correct from episode one. Arrow should take note.
Yeah, this should be called a shippers poll / Which two people would you like to see together. For actual couples / couple that was together, my vote goes with Wade and Zoe
My vote is for Bellamy and Clarke. They're not a couple yet, but I hope they will be in the future. They have such an amazing dynamic and sooooo much chemistry.
Most people dont complain about "Olicity". However it true that some get upset about the amount of attention they get from the fans and the media. Negativity over pairings on tv shows is inevitable once the writers decide to deal with them, especially on shows like Arrow that the main theme is action. But overall people seem satisfied, after all its a cw show ;)

My favorite pairing is Oliver/Felicity, normally I would vote for them anytime! But since I know they're gonna win this poll whether I vote or not (I mean, it's obvious now they're like the most popular TV couple this year) I went for Barry/Iris, who stole my heart this fall!! But honestly there are a few other ships from this list that I root for: Bellamy/Clarke, Francis/Mary, Stefan/Elena - even I quite like Hayley/Elijah and Bonnie/Damon. Too bad you can only have one vote! I guess I have a thing for CW pairings - even if the writing sucks sometimes! Anyway ^^
Well, Hayley & Klaus were just a one night stand, they're not a proper married couple. They are just two people who don't know how to use a condom, that's all! So I don't see how Elijah/Hayley is unhealthy..

In my mind there should not even be a discussion. I don't think anyone on this list comes even close to Vincent and Cat. Have never seen another couple with such awesome chemistry.
I voted for Westallen because of how stable and emotionally mature they are. I think that's important in a land of love triangles and Incredibly creepy behaviour with CW couples.
I love all the scenes between Bellamy and Clarke but I think that is mostly because of them as individuals than because I like them together. Both of them are leaders and they have different ways of approaching any issue that arises which means when you ut them together ina room to work on something, great things happen. When they're working together, they're like a force of nature. They can't be stopped. That really started in the finalefor me, when they decided to blow all those Grounders to hell. But since then, everytime they stand together against Abby, I think they are just so freakin' awesome. The character development of both as been really interesting. Clarke is getting more ruthless and Bellamy isn't doing everything to protect only himself or his sister anymore, like in the beginning.
Oliver and Felicity, Bellamy and Clarke, Barry and Caitlin, Stefan and Caroline, Damon and Elena.... Love all of these couples! Wish I could vote more than once. Since it is a Wednesday I need to vote Bellamy and Clarke.
This was hard because there were 2 other couples I wanted to vote for as well (Oliver and Felicity and Damon and Bonnie). My choice however has to be for my newest and most refreshing epic future endgame pairing of Barry and Iris. I am so loving them and their chemistry. Grant and Candice make it look effortless. Well Bradley, clearly you don't watch all the CW shows then ;) I don't either because they're not all on Dutch TV so I don't know all the 'couples'. I agree, Nikita had a nice couple but not the best for me. The only current real couple with amazing chemistry for me is Vincent and Catherine.
I voted for Damon and Elena. If they lose this poll, so what? They've already won a PCA for Best On-Screen Chemistry, and MTV's Ship Of The Year. And nominated for Favorite TV Duo for PCA 2015. Their winnings have been televised and gotten physical awards. They have won countless scene of the week polls including the amazing #DelenaRainKss. I don't care what people say, Delena will always be the best.
Preferred "ship" then must include Dean and Castiel, or Jasper and Monty. This is about couples whose romance is evident in canon even if it isn't yet realized.
Apparently only straight couples are included, and lets face it, these at least have a sliver of a chance to become canon. D &C with their two Y chromosomes, sadly no chance.
Are there even Lauliver fans? lol. I liked them in the first season, but not anymore; specially now that they aren't even talking on the eps. I actually kinda like Oliver and Felicity together, but the Olicity shippers are so dumb and so blind on their shipping that it is really annoying.
Since there are zero actual couples from CW shows I watch on this list, I choose other. Lincoln and Octavia may be the only romance relationship on the CW that didn't end up annoying me since season 6 of Supernatural. Of the non-couples on this list from shows I watch, the only one I could see as not being more irksome than not is Barry and Caitlin. That's possibly because they seem to have the least number of shipping comments. Bellamy and Clarke getting together could actually get me to stop watching The 100. I already dropped Arrow in part because of the rampant Olicity shipping.

Vincent and Catherine ~ Beauty and the Beast ~ Season 1 they got together ~ Season 2 ~ they broke up because Vincent was Beastnapped and had his personal memories erased but they got back together towards the end and now when Season 3 returns nothing can tear them apart woohoo!!! Most funnest gorgeous epic couple ever!♥

Wait what?! Lmao how can you ship something before the show even airs? If that's true then it would seem as if these same people were ready to reject Iris as a love interest from the word go. Such a shame, Barry and Iris are fantastic! I think the actors give great portrayals of legendary comic book characters, I'm really swept up in their story. I don't think I've ever enjoyed an onscreen love story this much, at least not in a really long time, they really do it justice. I'm so excited to see it progress! ^.^
I can't believe Klaus and Caroline are still considered a ship. I liked them too but Klaus is into Cami now and Caroline is going for the totally boring Stefan so there's no hope.
Beats me!! I mean I was shipping Barry and Iris from the start. (b/c I always have. Comics/cartoons etc) Once Iris's name was mentioned on Arrow, I was so excited. Then when they showed us who would be Iris, iI said omg, they're so cute together. I was even more excited. BUT it wasn't until we saw Iris as a character, that I was able to ship them. I needed to see how she was portrayed and like her as a single character before i would ship her off with Barry.
I can't wait til they get together. It's a very exciting time for them. Biris forever!

Oliver and Felicity are my ship, but Clarke and Bellamy are growing on me too, although I really don't see them happening this season at all. We'd have a third season at least to have any chance at seeing them together. I haven't picked a Flash pairing yet; I'm waiting to see how things play out over the season. I lean more towards Barry/Caitlin, since I like the chemistry and Barry/Iris are kinda too brother/sister for me. But I like Iris finally knows how Barry feels so we can see that dynamic change some, and Ronnie's back, so we'll see.
That's most of what I care about. Although, where are the Jane the Virgin couples?
Oh please that's just the result of fan pandering and retconning everything that happened in season 1. Oliver was blindly following Laurel wherever she put her step on and yet at the same time he realized how Felicity is the only one he could see as a person. Yeah right, and that's why he continues to pursue Laurel even though she was his best friend's girlfriend.
Anyway, i don't have anything against Oliver getting romantically connected to Felicity but writers attempting to retcon what already happened is pathetic. Now it seems like he never loved Laurel but we all know he did and how important she still is to him (said so himself). Bring him together with Felicity but don't pretend Laurel never happened.

Oliver/Laurel & Barry/Iris are the cannon ships in the comics, but I've noticed that a lto of the the Olicity shippers also ship Barry/Caitlin because I think Felicity & Caitlin are similar characters - the geeky/tech girl who is part of Team Arrow/Team Flash, when Laurel & Iris aren't really a part of the team and were mean to be the main love interests.

If I could vote on cancelled show, I go back to the time when Veronica Mars was on CW and vote Logan and Veronica. Tell me. How does Vampire Diaries run 6 seasons with poor writing and "let's make death completely meaningless by killing off a lot of characters only to bring them back!"? I agree I am a huge Elijah and Haley fan for me and I like Delena. I feel that Haley are Elijah are the best on the show. They are not forced and they have foundation. This is what's I don't like...that they think caitlin is like felicity. She is not...she is not funny, light, bubbly or even that geeky/nerdy. She is cold and serious most of the time. So please stop comparing caitlin with THE felicity....there only ever can be one felicity.
What does that have to do with anything? I like Iris on The Flash myself, but she's gotta sink or swim based on the version of herself on the show; I don't care if she's the best comic book character ever if she is a flop on screen. She isn't, in my opinion, but the two are separate. It's like saying you can't hate the Daredevil movie because (in your opinion) the Daredevil comic is so good. Each version of the character has to stand on his or her own feet; there is no "awesome in the comic book" pass for these characters, or this show, Iris included.

seriously dude!! olicity fanbase is one of the strongest in cw. that fan base is a well oiled machine. they literally managed to overthrow the comic canon couple.

ReplyDeleteMost people dont complain about "Olicity". However it true that some get upset about the amount of attention they get from the fans and the media. Negativity over pairings on tv shows is inevitable once the writers decide to deal with them, especially on shows like Arrow that the main theme is action. But overall people seem satisfied, after all its a cw show ;)

But since I know they're gonna win this poll whether I vote or not (I mean, it's obvious now they're like the most popular TV couple this year) I went for Barry/Iris, who stole my heart this fall!! But honestly there are a few other ships from this list that I root for: Bellamy/Clarke, Francis/Mary, Stefan/Elena - even I quite like Hayley/Elijah and Bonnie/Damon. ReplyDeleteI love all the scenes between Bellamy and Clarke but I think that is mostly because of them as individuals than because I like them together. Both of them are leaders and they have different ways of approaching any issue that arises which means when you ut them together ina room to work on something, great things happen. When they're working together, they're like a force of nature. They can't be stopped. That really started in the finalefor me, when they decided to blow all those Grounders to hell. But since then, everytime they stand together against Abby, I think they are just so freakin' awesome. The character development of both as been really interesting. Clarke is getting more ruthless and Bellamy isn't doing everything to protect only himself or his sister anymore, like in the beginning.

Lincoln and Octavia may be the only romance relationship on the CW that didn't end up annoying me since season 6 of Supernatural. Of the non-couples on this list from shows I watch, the only one I could see as not being more irksome than not is Barry and Caitlin. That's possibly because they seem to have the least number of shipping comments. Bellamy and Clarke getting together could actually get me to stop watching The 100. I already dropped Arrow in part because of the rampant Olicity shipping.

If that's true then it would seem as if these same people were ready to reject Iris as a love interest from the word go. Such a shame, Barry and Iris are fantastic! I think the actors give great portrayals of legendary comic book characters, I'm really swept up in their story. I don't think I've ever enjoyed an onscreen love story this much, at least not in a really long time, they really do it justice. I'm so excited to see it progress! ^.^

ReplyDeleteBeats me!! I mean I was shipping Barry and Iris from the start. (b/c I always have. Comics/cartoons etc) Once Iris's name was mentioned on Arrow, I was so excited. Then when they showed us who would be Iris, iI said omg, they're so cute together. I was even more excited. BUT it wasn't until we saw Iris as a character, that I was able to ship them. I needed to see how she was portrayed and like her as a single character before i would ship her off with Barry.

ReplyDeleteOliver and Felicity are my ship, but Clarke and Bellamy are growing on me too, although I really don't see them happening this season at all. We'd have a third season at least to have any chance at seeing them together. I haven't picked a Flash pairing yet; I'm waiting to see how things play out over the season. I lean more towards Barry/Caitlin, since I like the chemistry and Barry/Iris are kinda too brother/sister for me. But I like Iris finally knows how Barry feels so we can see that dynamic change some, and Ronnie's back, so we'll see.

Oh please that's just the result of fan pandering and retconning everything that happened in season 1. Oliver was blindly following Laurel wherever she put her step on and yet at the same time he realized how Felicity is the only one he could see as a person. Yeah right, and that's why he continues to pursue Laurel even though she was his best friend's girlfriend.

Now it seems like he never loved Laurel but we all know he did and how important she still is to him (said so himself). Bring him together with Felicity but don't pretend Laurel never happened.

ReplyDeleteOliver/Laurel & Barry/Iris are the cannon ships in the comics, but I've noticed that a lto of the the Olicity shippers also ship Barry/Caitlin because I think Felicity & Caitlin are similar characters - the geeky/tech girl who is part of Team Arrow/Team Flash, when Laurel & Iris aren't really a part of the team and were mean to be the main love interests.

How does Vampire Diaries run 6 seasons with poor writing and "let's make death completely meaningless by killing off a lot of characters only to bring them back!"? (seriously, how many times was Bonnie dead?) They cancelled Veronica Mars after three seasons and the writing was amazing. But thank God, we got a movie and some closure!

I am just nervous what is going to happen next. And I am so tired of Kaley fans saying they are over this has to continue they have so much story to tell. I like Iris on The Flash myself, but she's gotta sink or swim based on the version of herself on the show; I don't care if she's the best comic book character ever if she is a flop on screen. She isn't, in my opinion, but the two are separate. It's like saying you can't hate the Daredevil movie because (in your opinion) the Daredevil comic is so good. Each version of the character has to stand on his or her own feet; there is no "awesome in the comic book" pass for these characters, or this show, Iris included.
