Sleepy Hollow is continuing its sophomore season with an all new episode, “Heartless”, in which our Witness will face a Succubus, sent by Henry, airing this Monday on FOX.
Last week with “Deliverance”, our Witness defeated Moloch once more time. Since the beginning of the season, each of Moloch’s plans were turned down by Ichabod and Abbie. They’re proving to be excellent at their duty as Witnesses. Henry might be very scary and powerful with his Horseman of War and its fire sword, but he didn’t win anything yet. Okay, he took Irvin’ soul, but that's about all for the moment.
So, this week in “Heartless”, Henry will send a new monster, a Succubus, in Sleepy Hollow. As usual, Sleepy Hollow is doing a marvelous job at creating demons. Their succubus is very sexy and frightening. Like they did with the Wendigo, the whole explanation and characteristics of The Succubus are very interesting and nicely used in the Sleepy Hollow mythology. Of course, what matters the most is the purpose Henry has for the Succubus. It can drain the life forces out of people. As always, Henry has a calculated plan and the goal of the Succubus is very, very exciting.
But that’s not all you can expect from “Heartless”, here’s a list of what you can expect:
- Ichabod and Katrina will be introduced to the delightful world of TV reality. One of them will be a big fan of it.
- Abbie will turn to Hawley for help once again. At first he will be reluctant, because of the Wendigo’s attack of two weeks ago, but Abbie always knows how to convince him. He's totally under her charm. And, as seen in the sneak peek, Hawley will be attacked by the Succubus and Abbie will save him.
- About Hawley liking Abbie, Ichabod will finally notice it ! He’s always a bit slow with these things. He will try to talk about it to Abbie and Hawley, resulting in two very funny and awkward conversations.
- Ichabod will be introduced the joys of clubbing. As expected, it's not exactly his cup of tea.
- Katrina will have visions, very revealing revelations about Henry and Moloch’s plan. The Witnesses will find a way to use it against them and the Succubus.
- Ichabod and Katrina will have a moment of peace, allowing them to talk about the issues in their relationship (= Katrina’s lies)
- Henry will have a special jar in “Heartless”, that contains Moloch’s plan and it can do quite dangerous things.
- In “Heartless”, we will also learn about the origins of Saint Valentine. It’s for those kind of elements inside of an episode I love so much Sleepy Hollow.
- Abbie and Katrina will have a huge argument, over what to do with Henry, again. This argument is starting to escalate between the two of them and Ichabod is stuck in the middle with them. It’s a delicate question, but they really need to decide where they stand. Henry clearly said to his father how he feels last week. So now it’s whether they find a way to free Henry from Moloch or they destroy both of them.
- Perception spell will be used through the episode. It can be quite funny when two characters aren’t seeing the same thing in the same time but it can be also be very a dangerous and effective tool to manipulate.
- Abbie will use magic once again this week. She always seems to be very gifted in witchcraft. I'm really looking forward more magic from her.
- Katrina will prove to be very useful during the whole episode against the Succubus. She’s really at her place, helping the Witnesses IMO. It’s not sure the Witness share this point of view.
- Abbie and shirtless Hawley will share a very nice and close scene together. He totally has eyes for her but she's always so cold and distant.
“Heartless” is another exciting, action packed and funny episode of Sleepy Hollow. I must admit, now the episodes start to show a pattern. The demon sent by Henry comes, it attacks people and Ichabod and Abbie find a way to destroy it. But, still, the episodes never disappoint me and they’re always very entertaining.
