Season 3 Casting Updates:
Earlier it was announced Tom Brooke, Burn Gorman and Stephanie Blacker were cast, but now we have news on who they will be playing!
- Brooke will be playing Lothar Frey.
Going against the book description with this one, but Brooke should be awesome in the role nonetheless.
- Stephanie Blacker will be playing "Violet".
Blacker's Violet could be a combination of Val and Dalla, or perhaps a Tyrell cousin or even some Riverrun maiden.... We will have to wait and see.
- Burn Gorman will be a Night's Watchman, however the exact role is unknown.
Considering when Gorman was in Dublin it is assumed he is one of the Watch traveling with Mormont and Samwell.
George RR Martin's Episode Has a Title Change:
"The episode I scripted for the third season of HBO’s GAME OF THRONES has been retitled.via Not-a-Blog
It was formerly “Autumn Storms,” which I never much liked… but the episode did have a lot of rain in it.
The rain went away. So did the title.
The episode is now “Chains.” I like that better. And it works on both a literal and metaphorical level.
It will still be the seventh show of the season, episode 307.

The Stark Kids Rap the Game of Thrones Theme:
Game of Thrones Blonde Ale to Be Released:
"For its inaugural beer, Ommegang decided to go with a beer that was flavorful but not too complex. “We wanted to make something that was fairly easy to drink while you watch the show,” explains Ommegang brewer and Innovation Manager Mike McManus. So in lieu of a dark, heavy beer, they chose a blond ale and zeroed in on the evil Lannister family for inspiration. “We wanted something fair-colored that related to the fair-haired Lannister household. There’s also a certain amount of conniving and back-door dealing that they do. To relate to that, we used a traditional spice in Belgian beer called grains of paradise. We also used lemon peel to make the beer a bit tart.”
Refreshment is Coming.
Finally a sad note.....
Wilko Johnson (Ser Ilyn Payne) Diagnosed with Terminal Cancer:
“I am very sad to announce that Wilko has recently been diagnosed with terminal cancer of the pancreas. He has chosen not to receive any chemotherapy. He is currently in good spirits, is not yet suffering any physical effects and can expect to enjoy at least another few months of reasonable health and activity. He has just set off on a trip to Japan; on his return we plan to complete a new CD, make a short tour of France, then give a series of farewell gigs in the UK. There is also a live DVD in the pipeline, filmed on the last UK tour.
“Wilko wishes to offer his sincere thanks for all the support he has had over his long career, from those who have worked with him to, above all, those devoted fans and admirers who have attended his live gigs, bought his recordings and generally made his life such an extraordinarily full and eventful experience. Thank you.”
