Well, hello ! As I said yesterday, I'll start this new week by giving you some info/facts about the previous polls. Without further ado, before voting in the 23rd poll, here is the ranking of the first 22 polls :
1. One Tree Hill : 940 voters (39% voted for s3, 23% for s4, 14% for s6, 9% for s1, 5% for s2, 3% for s8 and 2% for s7).
2. Fringe : 906 voters (71% voted for season 3, 20% for season 2 and 9% for season 1).
3. Castle : 834 voters (79% voted for season 3, 14% for season 2 and 7% for season 1).
4. Bones : 607 voters (22% voted for season 3, 18% for seasons 6, 4 & 5, 15% for season 2 and 9% for season 1).
5. Grey's Anatomy : 596 voters (34% voted for s2, 23% for s5, 13% for s6, 10% for s1 & 3, 5% for s7 and 4% for s4).
6. Desperate Housewives : 428 voters (27% voted for s1, 25% for s4, 11% for s7 & 3, 10% for s6 & 5 and 6% for s2).
7. True Blood : 406 voters (40% voted for season 2, 31% for season 1 and 29% for season 3).
8. Doctor Who : 356 voters (23% voted for s4, 22% for s5 & s6, 19% for s2, 6% for s3, 5% for the specials, 3% for s1).
9. Breaking Bad : 235 voters (66% voted for season 3, 23% for season 2 and 11% for season 1).
10. 90210 : 228 voters (41% voted for season 3, 35% for season 1 and 24% for season 2).
11. Torchwood : 189 voters (57% voted for season 3, 30% for season 2 and 13% for season 1).
12. Leverage : 164 voters (44% voted for season 3, 35% for season 1 and 21% for season 2).
13. Parks & Recreation : 147 voters (69% voted for season 3, 28% for season 2 and 3% for season 1).
14. Burn Notice : 136 voters (31% voted for season 2, 30% for season 3, 21% for season 1 and 18% for season 4).
15. Eureka : 134 voters (40% voted for season 4, 25% for season 3, 22% for season 2 and 13% for season 1).
16. Private Practice : 131 voters (38% voted for season 4, 27% for season 2, 21% for season 3 and 14% for season 1).
17. Weeds : 131 voters (32% voted for season 2, 22% for seasons 1 & 3, 11% for s6, 9% for s4, 4% for season 5).
18. Damages : 125 voters (70% voted for season 1, 20% for season 2 and 10% for season 3).
19. Entourage : 74 voters (36% voted for season 3, 26% for s2, 11% for s5, 9% for s4, 8% for s1, 7% for s7, 3% for s6).
20. Rescue Me : 53 voters (42% voted for season 2, 15% for seasons 1 & 3, 11% for s6, 9% for s4, 8% for season 5).
21. Sunny : 45 voters (33% voted for season 3, 22% for s4, 16% for s5, 14% for season 2, 11% for s1, 4% for season 6).
22. Curb : 42 voters (43% voted for season 7, 19% for s3, 14% for s4, 7% for seasons 1 & 6 and 5% for seasons 2 & 5).
Serious (and some fun) facts :
- Fringe is not first, that's quite a surprise. However, the Fringe thread has by far the biggest amount of comments : 70 ; True Blood is #2 with 26 comments).
- As of Monday, August 8th 2011 at 11:59pm GMT+1, the first 22 polls have received a total of 6906 votes. That's an average of 313.31 votes per poll. 8 shows are above that average, 14 are under.
- For 50% of these shows (11 shows/22), your favourite season is season 3. Only for 2 shows (Damages and Desperate Housewives) is the 1st season your favourite.
- 6 shows had the majority of the votes on one of their season : Torchwood (57% on season 3), Breaking Bad (66% on season 3), Parks and Recreation (69% on season 3), Damages (70% on season 1), Fringe (71% on season 3) and Castle (79% on season 3).
- The shows for which no season reaches a third (33.33%) of the total amount of votes in their dedicated poll are Bones (22% for season 3), Doctor Who (23% for season 4), Desperate Housewives (27% for season 1), Burn Notice (31% for season 2) and Weeds (32% for season 2). It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia's third season has a perfect 33.33% as of this moment, I invite you to make that figure change (and watch that show, you need to watch that show, and by the way, far from me the idea that some of the best shows in these polls are those that get the lowest amount of votes).
- If you add up the amount of votes for the last 9 shows in the ranking (Curb your Enthusiasm, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Rescue Me, Entourage, Damages, Weeds, Eureka, Burn Notice and Parks & Recreation), there's not even as many votes as for the single One Tree Hill poll (887 < 936).
- On the other hand, if you add up the amount of votes of the first 3 polls (One Tree Hill, Fringe and Castle), you have 2676 votes, which is 39% of the total amount (6906), so basically 4 out of 10 votes that were done in this series of polls (22 so far) since June 28th were done in one of these 3 polls.
- It took 5 minutes to have 42 votes on Fringe. It took 30 days to have 42 votes on Curb your Enthusiasm.
