Greyston Holt will reportedly portray a younger version of Sam Neill鈥檚 character Emerson Hauser鈥攁 government agency director.
Holt starred in the 2008 sports film Slap Shot 3: The Junior League and played Ray Prager Jr. on the Canadian series Durham County.
Scottish actor Paul McGillion, best known as Dr. Carson Beckett on Stargate: Atlantis, also has a speaking role in the Alcatraz pilot.
Extras were cast as tourists, cops, prisoners, and park rangers.
